Unable to Open

I have been using Photoshop 4.0 with Windows XP Home(Service Pak 3) and recently upgraded so that I have 1.21 GB of RAM. When I try to open Photoshop I get an error message: "There is not enough memory {RAM} to launch Photoshop. When I only a fifth of present memory I had no problem. Is there asolution other than buying new software. This is the only program that has had a brpblem since the memory upgrade.

I'm sorry but the only way you're going to be able to use CS2 is if you either use less programs on the computer so that you can open it without the error message coming up, or downgrade back to Photoshop 4.0 or buy more RAM for your computer. Adobe Photoshop requires quite a bit of RAM so really, it would be wise to upgrade if you want to continue using their products.

You can remove the service pack by click Start -- > Control Panel -- > Add/remove programs. If not, use the backup disc you created upon installing windows. If you didn't create or don't have one, use the original install disc.

Do this model supporsts win xp service pack 2

Hi.

This unit has a Pentium 4 2GHz single core processor, and does support Windows XP SP2.

The standard memory installed on this unit was 256KB RAM, in order to run XP efficently you will need to upgrade the RAM. I suggest upgrading RAM to the maximum amount allowed of 2 GB RAM.

To upgrade the RAM to 2 GB you will need 2 modules of 1GB PC2100 184 pin DIMM ECC each.

Laptop shows only 4gb ram & 300 gb hdd

This is the limitation of a 32 bit (x86) Operating System. A 32 bit OS can detect upto 3GB RAM only.

You may either try installing the x64 Bit of XP Operating System or Vista Service Pack 1 or 2 for 32 bit Vista Operation System to resolve the issue.

After installing the SP 1 or 2 of the Vista OS in the Computer, the OS will detect 4GB RAM.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
