How to turn on bluetooth radio

Which operating system ???...
There are a variety of ways to connect to the Internet or a home/business network using your Hewlett-Packard (HP) desktop computer---via a modem, Ethernet cable and even wirelessly.
A wireless connection works by sending a signal from your modem or router to your HP desktop's built-in wireless radio.
The radio receives and processes the signal so you can access the Internet or a home or business network.
In order for the signal to be received by your HP desktop, you must enable the wireless radio within the computer's configuration.

Click "Start," "Control Panel."
Double-click on the "HP Wireless Assistant" icon.
The HP Wireless Assistant dialog box will open.
Click the "Turn On" button next to the words "Wireless LAN."
Click "Close" to activate the wireless radio.

Weak signal on pci card

The signal strength for wireless devices depends on a number of factors including:
The distance from the wireless router / access point or gateway.
The objects in the path of the direct line of sight signal, i.e. types and thickness of walls, metal objects such as kitchen appliances etc.
The directional characteristics of the aerial on the router / access point.
The physical position of the router, i.e. is is low down or high up in the room - the best position would normally be at a height which gives the best / clearest footprint for the wireless signal.

Do you have other wireless devices - what is the signal strength like for those when positioned close to the device with the Ralink PCI card?

How many wireless provider devices do you have, i.e. do you just have the one wireless router / access point or have you extended your wireless network using a second router or access point to give greater coverage?

Are there other competing wireless networks close to your own network, if so, you may need to consider setting a different channel than the default channel 11 that many devices use.

Also try to keep your computer wireless devices away from other devices such as wireless telephones, wireless remote controls etc.

Note: the slot used to host the PCI wireless card is unlikely to make any difference as the physical location of the aerial is only minimally changed by a couple of centimetres. Try rotating the computer case so that the aerial is directly facing the wireless router (to remove the case as another cause of weakening the signal being received).

I have dell dimension 3100 computer and asking what is the best wireless adapter also my computer is in the basement where signal is weak and the router is at the main floor. it is a rogers router fr...

It depends on where the router is and what model router you have. If it is a G router, you may need to extend the signal with an Access Point. If it is an N router, you can purchase an N adapter, preferably from the same make of your router.

I am not familiar with a Rogers router. I believe that Rogers DSL is your service provider, and the Cable modem/router is made by a third party such as Motorola.

Look at your cable modem/router and list it in a reply message.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response
Thanks, Joe

Compaq 5450F does this computer have wireless? I cannot find any networks. I have wireless att wireless and just got this computer from a friend and loaded all the back up discs to the origional...

Compaq computers are wireless capable. requires a modem to acquire network signals from another device. also require a selection of predetermined netword like local area networks installable between two computers in the promimity. A wider area network is explained as several computers communitncating beyond the same computer owner. Wider or larger area web networks requires permtion from a provider setpup hosting the infrustructure. A web network would require devices that send and receiver signals over larger distances knownas modems. Acquiring a modem would require the permission of each person in the web setup. a more convenient arrangement is to acquire that modem from the host provider that has the oppotunity to network between several infructure device computers. A host would provide a password into several computers, rather than requiring a password to each new computer with networks established solely.

Yah i have a dynex tv and a Asus desktop comp and my tv says no signal when i plug it in i dont know what the problem is

Is the dynex tv unit installed inside the ASUS desktop computer?
The TV receiver needs an antenna/aerial connected to the TV receiver to receive TV signals, without it you will get no or weak signal.
Have you connected an antenna/aerial to the Dynex TV unit?

Belkin Wireless Modem Router problem

well, first of all the i also have the N1 belkin wireless modem router, in order for it to connect, there has to be a wireless connection in your area for you to connect to, if any of your neighbors so have wireless you can connect to their network, but if you are not getting a conection that means no one around you has wireless or lan, the belkin wireless is not a internet provider it just extends the distance of your internal wireless. some networks may be secured as well, sometimes you can only connect to unsecured networks unless you have the name and passcode for the secured network.
