I have a TI-82 and the following 7 keys do not work...... #'s 0,1,4,7 and the "clear" "," sin keys

Hello mchonto. Remove the battery. Perform the following on a cloth placed on a table. Remove to case screws buy using a jewellers screw driver. Carefully open the case. Disassemble the main PBbd support to aquire access to the key board. The key board is made up of diaphram switches. The diaphrams may be broken or dirty or a trace on the PCbd is open. Clean the diaphrams with a dry Q-tip or mostion Q-tip with Aceton. Connect the battery & test. #2 CAREFULLY reseat the felx ribbon trace from the key bd in to the socket. Reconnect the battery & test operation. Malfunction changed, clean the traces with a #2 pencil eraser. Retest. Good Luck

The -0.7568 value is the correct result for the sine of 4 radians. To switch the calculator to degrees, press MODE, use the cursor keys to move down to the Rad/Deg line, highlight "Deg", press ENTER then 2nd [Quit].

The INV key that you may find on some scientific calculators has, on the TI 83/84/ Plus calculators, an equivalent key marked [2nd].

The arrow is the STO key just to the left of the 1 key. The comma key is just above the 7 key.

The comma key on the TI 84 SE is above the 7 key, and it is just left of (, right of x squared, and below SIN. thats where the "," key is. If you're asking something else, please clearify. My understanding is that you don't know where the comma key is.

same thing happened to me except its 7 4 and 1 along with the "apps" "sin" and "," keys and it just registers as a 0. ( when i press those keys it puts in 0 on screen)
