Question about Cannon MULTIPASS C530 Printer

MP530 Print Cartidge Problems

My MP530 keeps telling me that I have more than one [8]Cyan cartidge in when there is only one. I thought maybe the cartidge was bad so I took it back in exchange for a new one, it is still give me the same message every so often. Some times it will not read how much ink in the cartidge, I have to open the machine and remove the cartidge than put it back in. It even flashes even though the cartidge is full. It did the same thing with my [5] black once this week. Do you think the print head has to be replaced, if so how much will one run you?

    I tried what you suggested, but it is still tell me that I have more than one [8]Cyan installed/ it will tell me to replace the one that has the lamp out and of course that would be the [8] Cyan, but it is still filled with ink. Do you think I will have to replace my printhead? If so, how much does on run?

Hi shortiered,

Sounds like your orginal driver installation has become corrupted. Try this: completely remove unit and its software from your computer, not forgetting to unplug all cables. Go to the folling url(copy and paste in the address bar) for the latest software for your unit. It's easiet if you create a new folder on your desktop and name it mp530 drivers, save down load here. Install software first, reboot and plug your cables in, windows will reconize new hardware and install it for you or it may ask if you have installation disk or installation file, click yes and direct download to the folder you created for your new drivers. I hope this helped a little, if not, hit me back, we have other options.

MP530 will coply but won't print


sir,
Try to replace the cartidge maybe your cartidge is not fit to work properly and also the ink is not compatible with your printer
then after you replace the cartridge do the nozzle cleaning until its ok.

Try a new Genuine yellow ink in it, if it fails take to canon dealer for free warranty repair.

Yes, plastic cartidge holder is provided to you to store HP 337 (black inkjet print cartridge) as you remove it to install a new HP 338 ( Photo Cartidge).

 

Remember, below combination of Cartidges for used for specific purposes:

 

Black and color cartidge  for general Printing of Documents.

Black, Color, Photo Cartidge to Print Photos.

Color cartidge , photo Cartidge and gray cartidge is specially used when you to print copies of photos  with great quality.
