I had the same prob and found this site off google looking for the solution.

I went back to my shark and took out all the screws, some don't feel like they were coming out but it came apart. Take a pair of pliers and release the spring clip holding the hose to the heat nozzle. Then pull off the hose. Then take a paper clip, unkink it so it's sort of straight with a curve to go into the hole . Shove it in and out to clean out the hole. I got my fingers blasted with residual steam so you should let it cool first. But I think the steam bursting out helped clean out the hole. Don't throw it away till after you try that..It worked great after that. All the best, Satch

The most likely reason it creates steam but won't push it out the mop is due to a broken tube inside. I took mine apart and found one of the neoprene tubes was broken. there is a spring inside the tube that came out as well. the spring is used to keep the hose from collapsing when the water gets hot. Very similar to what is done with a car for the radiator hoses. As of yet I haven't been able to find anyone that sells the neoprene tubing.

I bought a shark 3101 steam mop. When I fill the tank, the water just runs out the bottom before I can use it. How do I fix this leak?

take out the 6 screws on the side if the machine and there are also some hidden where the filter goes and once open you'll see immediate a rubber tube split or torn. i used air hose line for a air filter for that you would use with any ordinary fish tank. (sorta like a adaptor) it worked great, just cut the shredded part of the tubbing out first obviously and i sealed it with Shoo Goo lol. stuff works on EVERYTHING. i was determined bc i had picked the Shark van n steam Mop up at a garage sale for 20 buks. good luck

Well got one brought it home worked for five minutes. Went back to walmart exchanged my Shark.Only one box left, looked opened but nothing seemed out of place till I got it home.Must have beeen a previous return somebody was short a funnel for their meth.lab(lol).Now warranty or not have tod to take it apart and see. There is a line that looks like it has a tendency to come off it has a spring inside it.Looks like it just blew apart because of pressure (poor design) Going to reattach it see what happens.

I called customer service, they claim the reason it wont steam is there is a air bubble in it! well i emptied the water, started over and NO steam! it may work for one of you though.
