Ok Techs Please help . I bought a use but nice looking washer Amana Alw480Daw . I plug it in turn to wash it agitates, I turn to spin it spins.
Whem i put in say 5 gallons (buckets before I hook upstairs) in and go to wash light any it sprins the water out. (I did put it on wash and agitate without water then pushed the knob in and put water in and that agitated) but just that one time. PLEASE Help Smart techies!

IF that's what is happening go to the pressure switch , the water level switch, give it a tap . this should solve the problem thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer thanks.

Hi , I have the washer outside without hoses connected When I plug it in and set the timer to wash cycle and close the lid it agitates (dry). But when I add water around 5 gallons by buckets and close lid and set to wash it spins out the water everytime. I was told it had a problem when I bought this but she didn't know what the problem was, so I figured I make it or make sure it works before the climb upstairs and the old washer out. Thnaks a bunch just for looking at my question.

Hello , Yes I have no water coming in (hoses not hooked up) when I set the timer to wash and pill knob it agitates. But when I add (pour water into top..again no water hook up for hoses ) and set the timer to wash it spins out the water. :(
HI thanks for your question. when you set the timer to the wash cycle. your are saying no water comes in yet it agitates
