Ecc ram in compaq Evo d300 won't work, is there a Ram setting in bios?... updated bios to 3.04

Hello mike59087, if you are having a problem with the 'RAM,' you should check to see if the 'System' support "ECC RAM." Next check to see if ie; you added more 'RAM' what type of RAM did you have in the computer before. You should see if the System is compatible with the different "Type: DDR, DDR2, DDR3, 512MB, 1GB, or 2GB; what is the [Maxium] RAM supported? Are the "Speeds different? 333Mhz, 2.1 GHz, 3.2 GHz... Is the RAM, Dual Layer, Double-sided... For the 'best performance; all RAM should be the 'same speed, from the 'same' manufacturer, the "total amount to add up to the "Maxium" supported RAM, and the 'same type: DDR, DDR2, or DDR3... Take a look at this website, it will give you a "quick scan, to see the type of RAM that is best to use with your 'system. "Thank for using Fix'Ya, and if this helped at all; click on the "Thumbs Up" to give a rating, thanks again, paul7of 9."
