I have a Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator which is producing Ice but the door dispensor stopped working. I do not here any mechanical noise like I usually here when the motor turned the ice bucket auger. Please advise on where to start my troubleshooting. Thanks Jeff
Jeff; I would start by taking the ice bucket out and totally defrosting it! Sometimes water will freeze holding the auger in place and a simple defrost will cure that problem.
Hope this helps!

try and remove the ice bin.the watch the auger motor while the door is open and the switch help close while some one is tryind to dispence ice.if the auger turns the check and see if the u shaped braket is stripped you can tell this by grabbing it and turning back and forth it should only move one way.if it does not turn then the auger motor does need to be replace.make sure to check the wiring as well.if the motor turn check th is bin and make sure there is no ice jammed in the teeth of the auger this wolud stopp it from turning.i hope this was some help to you good luck. would like to here how things go for you.

use this site www.frigidaire.com to get your user manual
if you go on searsapplainces.com you can see your model and every part and your machine taken apart in each piece
as far as ordering parts try allbrands appliance parts they seem to be cheaper then any other you can also call them and have them look up which part you need

pull the ice tray out, you will see a silver thing in the back that turns the auger,, push the ice dispense button ( you might have to hold the door switch in) and see if it turns, if it does you need to replace your ice tray,, if it doesn't you will need to replace the solenoid or the motor itself

Error Code "SY EF" is the System Evaporator Fault.
This usually means there is NOT enough air flow over the sensor, this can mean a faulty sensor, or fan.
Hi
If freezer door switch is not working, dispenser won't work. Does the freezer light go off & on when door is opened & closed? If you have a voltmeter, check that water valve is getting 120 volts when dispenser is pushed in. If no voltage, I would suspect the micro-switch that you hear clicking when you push in with a glass. Even though it clicks, the contacts could still be bad in it. However other than that loose/off wire, ribbon cable for front buttons off/loose, bad board, child lock are something that can make the dispenser dead.

It has been defrosted but the motor and actuator does not move. Could it be a switch in the dispensor door?
