Your unit needs a laser...time for an aftermarket cd player. It's not cost effective to replace the laser in your unit. Sorry.

How can I get my car radio unstuck from one station?

Try disconnecting the negative ground (-) cable from the battery. That will disconnect power to everything including your radio. It might reset it self when you restore power by reconnect the negative ground cable to the battery.

Have you changed programs that you use to burn VCDs?
(Perhaps the program was updated?)

Perhaps trying a different program to make the VCD will work for you.

Also; when is the last time you cleaned the DVD player lens?

CD tray opens and shuts fine. With CD loaded and shut the screen still says NO DISK. These are disks which have always played without problem on this CD player. Is there anything I can try before taking...

When the CD player loads properly and still reads as no disk this indicates that the player lens (Optical device which reads the disk information) Is either dirty or bad. The only option you have is to get a disk lens cleaner and run it on the system. Once you run it, it is supposed to work if the lens is not spoilt. Otherwise you will just have to replace the lens by taking it to a repairer.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Kenwood VR-209 turns off after 20 minutes

Overheating is likely your root cause. Move the unit to make sure it is getting enough air around it and remove anything that you have sitting on top of it ESPECIALLY any device that produces heat of it's own such as your CD player. If that does not solve the problem, listen at a lower volume and/or defeat any equalization or bass enhancement circuitry.

CD player TEAC DC-D350 When inserting CD >>message 'disc' shows up. Suspect Laser diode faulty. Should the Laser be on only with CD inserted ? or anytime when player is 'ON'...?

It must probably be a laser faulty, however it could also be derived from something that you can solve by cleaning.. The laser should be on only with cd inserted.

PACKARD BELL CD/RADIO/MP3 PLAYER. MODEL PB OP 10

This is not for connecting an MP3 player, but rather for playing MP3-CD's. Using your computer and a CD burner, you can burn a CD with up to about ten hours worth of MP3s on it. The procedure for creating the disc varies depending on your burning software. In Nero, for example, you would select "Music" and then "MP3 Disc" and then select the songs you want to put on the disc. For other software you just select "burn a data disc" and then select the MP3 files you want.

Once you have a CD full of MP3s, put it in the Packard-Bell stereo's CD player, and you will be able to play all the MP3 files that are on the CD. THe advantage, of course, is being able to put ten hours on one CD instead of only 80 minutes.

DVD Audio Output Stops

Hey Kelby,

I've had a similar experience where a DVD movie would be playing and suddenly my Denon would just shut off, I later discovered that my rear speaker cables were not correctly installed in the back so the reciever recognized it as a short and would just shut down. Just make sure your rear speaker cables are correctly installed (right to right and left to left and with correct positive/negative placement) and see if it still does it. If it's still happening, then I wouldn't know what it is. Good luck.
