Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Pixxo MP3 Player is noisy

I have a 4Gb Pixxo MP3 player and during playback of the files there is a hum which is rather loud. As it changes tracts and the music stops the hum gets really loud, then there is a 'black' silence for a fraction of a second afterwhich the hum comes back and then the next tract plays. At low volume the hum is disturbing even when the tract is playing. Any ideas what it is or how to clean it up?

I have the same problem, and now my computer will not even recognize the player. It is as if all the songs disapeared and nothing will play.

It happens to me too. I tried a higher quality headphones and the hum happened, but when I used the ones that came with the player the hum can't be heard.

I have a stunning new breakthrough on the frequently cited problem - "I cannot add any more songs to my Mp3 Player." Before we proceed, I am assuming that the reason you cannot add any more files has nothing to do with available memory space. Of course, if your Mp3 player is full, it will not accept any more songs. But, I am assuming that this is not your problem.
Apparently, if you add too many folders, especially via Playlist, via Windows Media Player, the Mp3 player's file system will become unstable - it can only handle a certain number of additional folders.

To resolve the issue:

1. Connect the player to the PC using the USB cable.
2. Open Windows Media Player.
3. Go to the Sync or Devices tab and delete all content from the player.
4. Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
5. Select the Devices tab, highlight the ILO or Siren player and click on Properties.
6. Uncheck the box "Create Folder Hierarchy on Device"

Now, when music is transferred, it will be placed in the root directory of the flash memory disregarding the folder structure and allowing all tracks to be seen.

This procedure was designed for Siren Mp3 players, but is applicable to many other Mp3 players. It is not a guaranteed fix for every Mp3 player and every error of this type, but it is certainly not a widely known or reported solution. i hope that this benefits many Mp3 player owners who are experiencing this issue.

I have downloaded songs to my mp3 player but it says

Hi creer_mariah
Sounds to me like you have the wrong format for the songs to play properly on your MP3 player.
Your player only supports MP3 and WMA type audio files (non-encrypted).
You may have to change the format of your songs to play on your MP3 player.
If you have to change format of the audio files, you can download a FREE format converter at this page:

For information on your MP3 player go to this webpage:

HELP!!!

The songs that you are syncing may not be in the right format for this particular Mp3 player. Where did you get the songs?
Q: What type of files can I play?
A: Mp3 and WMA files. DRM protected WMA files, such as those purchased from many online music services, must be copied to the player via Windows Media Player or the music management software compatible with your online music store.

The player does not support AAC file playback.
(i.e: iTunes will not work)

Pixxo mp3 player can not find disk on pc when conected to USB port.

El Passo 77.. TO play MUSIC... on a PD-A288 PIXXO MP3 player (this works on my 4GB unit):
1) turn on pixxo player (press and HOLD then BIG >| button for 4 seconds).
2) use the left-right button to highlight the MSC (MUSIC) icon
3. press the left-right button into the pixxo (avoid making it go left or right when you do this!!!)
4) Now use the left-right button to select a song.
5) now press the BIG >| button on top to begin playing the song that you selected.
6) you will see in the upper right corner numbers like 00:00 (secs into song) and a MM:SS total length.
7) To pause the song, press the BIG >| button. So >| acts as a toggle between PAUSE and PLAY.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!

RIO KARMA MP3 PLAYER

It could be that the 3.5 millimeter connection on the player is becoming loose from its connection on the internal board. When it does this, try wiggling the plug to see if it changes anything (if the sound fades in and out then it is definitely a loose connection and sodering will be needed). Also, try changing the playback options in the menu...you can change the equalizer presets to Rock, Jazz, Classic, Vocal, etc..
