Two solutions I have received are:
There will be a option for reset .

Insert a pin in the hole so that you can get the disc out .

Now this sounds ideal if only I can find the hole for the reset, can anyone tell me where it is located please?
    Thanks Keith

Does the tray make a sound as if it is trying to eject? If so, then try this: Take two thin knives (jewellers' screwdriver will work her as well). Press the eject button and insert the screwdrivers/knives into the gaps on either side and gently try to pull open the tray. Once you get a purchase for your fingers, use them instead to pull out the tray. If you see that the disc inside is not positioned properly and is preventing the tray from opening, use the screwdriver to adjust the position of the tray.

If you do NOT hear any sound when you press eject, then it could indicate a fault with the tray motor or some broken teeth on the gears, for which you will have to get it serviced.

Hope that helps! Please don’t forget to "Accept" the solution if it helped you in any way, or leads you to a fix.

There is no hole. That is only found on CD/DVD ROM's for PC's and laptops. Try my method. It generally works. If it doesn't, then the only option is to dismantle the deck to get at the stuck CD...

That means that there is a mechanical error concerning the tray gears

To remove the disk stuck inside, unplug power, plug power cord back, turn on the unit, and
while you are turning on the unit, keep pressing repeatedly the eject button.

Do this several times, until it works.
When you succeed in ejecting the disk before the unit starts reading it, you have solved the problem.

Do not forget to accept the solution if you solve the problem.

There is sir but do this with tools and gloves to prevent accident or something happen. if you can open the cover of your player by using your tools you can get the cd stucked in it. after you open, turn on the power and push off the disc that is in there. you may see a wheel with a gearlike and try to revovle it. im not so sure if its clockwise or counter clockwise but it will remove afterward. or try this one. by the way do this at your own risk. but im doing this whenever a cd stucked on our component dvd. hope that helps!

How to update firmware for vizio vbr100

To update the firmware for the Vizio VBR100 Blu-ray player, you need to download the firmware package to a computer with a CD-R or other optical disc burner. The firmware is a .zip file. Next extract the contents of the compressed folder to see the .ISO file. Use the computer program to burn the ISO to CD. Windows 7 and later included this type of program (right click on the file and choose Burn disc image). For other systems, you need a program that can burn image files to disc. Nero Burning ROM is one such program.

Now make sure that the player does not have an optical disc in the unit and turn it off. If possible, plug the Blu-ray player into an UPS (battery backup). Turn the player back on and wait for the No Disc message. Press Eject to open the disc tray and put in the CD with the firmware. Close the disc tray. The Loading Disc message should appear on the screen followed by the firmware screen. Press Select on the remote to start the update process. (Use the down arrow followed by Select to cancel the procedure.) Wait for the update to finish; you do not want the power to go off during this time. The disc tray will open when the "Success" message is displayed. Remove the CD and press Select. The unit will restart. To check your firmware version, turn on the Blu-ray player with no optical disc in the tray. When you see the "No Disc" message, press eject to open the disc tray. Press the digits 7 8 0 4 in order on the remote. Look at the Revision number of the firmware.

Note: not all versions of the VBR100 can have the firmware updated. Also, Vizio no longer supports this model. There are some third-party sites that claim to have the file. Use caution; suspicious code can be added to the file by various parties.

I hope this helps.

My sony dvd player will not allow the tray to eject. when the eject button is presses "tray locked" appears on the screen

Follow this procedure to lock and unlock the disc tray.
IMPORTANT: This procedure will only work while a disc is inserted in the player and when the disc is playing.
While a disc is playing in the Blu-ray Disc player, press the SYSTEM MENU button on the remote control.
After the System Menu screen appears, slowly press 0 0 0 0 7 6 6 9 using the number pad on the remote control. NOTES:
If the procedure has been performed correctly, the disc will stop playing and the player will go in the Resume mode. Each time this procedure is performed the disc tray will either lock or unlock.

Jvc kd lx111 deck wont eject cd

I just had this problem today and when I attempted to eject the CD it would give me an error message that stated (ERR 32). Apparently this means that there is something blocking the movement of the screen, a little manipulation should help the issue. Another variable could be the Eject lock feature, essentially a "child lock" for your disc. When this lock is activated it prevents the CD in the deck to be ejected. You can change this by holding down the blue source button and the eject button simultaneously for about 2 or 3 seconds. A message should appear saying "No Eject" and one that repeatedly flashes "Eject on" These two things seemed to help me alot when I had this issue. If those things don't work I would recommend calling JVC, much to my suprise they were actually really helpful. Their number is 1-800-252-5722.

DVD & CD use different wavelengths for the read head. I suspect that the blue laser is out of alignment or otherwise in need of repair.

PhotoCD is a format.
