Question about Samsung SGH-d807 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Phone won't connect with PC using USB cable

My phone got stolen so I purchased a new (used) one off eBay. I just bought a 1GB micro SD to put music on but when I tried to connect with the PC suite, it doesn't detect it. The phone beeps and recognizes its plugged in, the PC tells me new USB device found and ready to use but the software doesn't respond when I connect it. I uninstalled everything samsung on my comp, restarted and downloaded and reinstalled everything fresh, but I still have the same problem. Aside from getting a card reader/writer, is there a way to get my phone and PC to sync?

No USB! You need to get a flash drive stick that your micro sd will plug into($14.00 @ Staples etc....). Then plug that into the computer. It will show up as a removable storage device in the My Computer section of your start menu. Load ONLY 128k mp3s and make sure your song titles are only about 10 characters long. I like my phone's function and with regard to playing the phone through the car stereo my friend with an Iphone can't slump like I slump. It will directly attach w/a connection to your car stereo if it has the mp3 port. Good Luck n-joy.

I cannot download pictures from my LG Neon gt365 to my computer. What do I need to do? Do I need a USB? Do I need a micro SD? If so, what kind do I need? any help would be great!

You should be able to connect it using a usb cable that will need to be bought separately and a micro SD card installed in the phone. You should be able to buy any micro SD card up to 4GB. Also, if you buy a card with an SD adapter that will allow you to connect the SD card (with a memory card reader) to your computer without the additional usb cable. The manual link is attached: http://www.tmoatt.com/uploads/53/LG_Neon_GT365_UG_English.pdf
Per the manual:
Transferring Music from the Digital Music Service 1. Using your computer, open your preferred PC music management client. 2. Download the selected song to your library. 3. Make sure the microSD™ card is inserted properly into the handset. 4. Use the USB adapter cable to connect the handset to the PC. When you try to connect handset on your PC, the handset displays "Call and Message functions will not be available while connected to USB". 5. Once the USB connection has been established, the handset displays "To avoid data corruption always carry out safe removal hardware on PC after use." and the computer screen then shows the LG NEON device. If the detection does not occur, skip to Changing USB Connection Settings section on page 63. 6. Follow the instruction in the program to transfer music to your handset. n Note If you have a USB hub, connect the handset directly to your computer rather than through the hub. Transferring Music using Windows Media Player 1. Open Windows Media® Player on your computer (version 10.0 or higher). 2. Use the USB adapter cable to connect the handset to the PC. When you try to connect handset on your PC, the handset displays "Call and Message functions will not be available while connected to USB". 3. Once the USB connection has been established, the handset displays "To avoid data corruption always carry out safe removal hardware on PC after use." and the computer screen then shows the LG NEON device.

I can't get my photos from my cell phone to my laptop

If you are unable to use your memory card, your LG CU515 has a data cable connection which supports charging and mass storage mode.

Once you connect your phone to your PC with this cable, you should be able to transfer your pictures.

USB Connection Mode:
You can transfer files between a compatible PC to
the memory in your phone using the Mass
Storage. When you connect the phone to a PC
using the USB cable, this will be displayed as a
removable disk through Windows Explorer.

After connecting your phone to your computer with the data cable on your computer, click: START > Computer > and look for the phone in the list of storage devices.

On your PC, double click on the icon that identifies your phone - and locate the folder where the picture's on your phone are located. Then double click on your picture's folder on your PC. Simply drag and drop the pictures from your phone to your PC.

If you do not have a Data cable, one can be purchased either at your local cellular retail store or on eBay:

How to put music on samsung gt e2120

I bought the e2120 for a friend this week and have put the 2 gig micro SD card I purchased separately into the phone, (it goes in the slot next to the sim card under the battery). You can put the memory card into your computer with the SD adapter that comes with the micro card and put photos and music onto the card that way. However, I am having trouble getting the phone to recognize the music that I put onto the card. I am not sure if I used the right mp3 format, so I will check. Anyway in my search for an answer to this problem, I ran across a couple of forums where your problem was addressed. You can connect the phone, (with the micro SD card inserted into the phone as I said above) then buy a USB cable to connect the phone from the charger slot to computer. Your computer will recognize the phone SD card as mass storage. Then you can drag and drop the files you want from the computer to the phone storage card. Just be sure the files you want to use are the right format to be read by the phone’s software, (e.g. jpeg for photo and mp3 for music). Then you can go to the storage card menu on the phone to find the files. The USB cable they said you need is called …

See
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung-usb-data-cable-p14710.htm for a list of phones supported

Other file transfer instructions from another site are…
samsung e2120 has file transfer capabilty. instructions are as follows:
connect data cable from device to pc > press menu > select settings > select pc connection > select mass storage > drag and drop your files.

Hope this helps.

How do i load music into my new i856 by boost

according to motorola, this phone has bluetooth and micro SD card slot.
if you have computer with bluetooth, then you can pair the computer and phone and simply send music files wirelessly via bluetooth.
if you dont have bluetooth, then you can buy a cheap usb bluetooth adapter from ebay and have a bluetooth enabled computer, then follow above step.

if you have SD card slot on your computer then you can get a SD card to micro SD card slot adapter from ebay or elsewhere, where you can simply put music on then card from pc and then transfer the card to the phone.

here is the phone manual.for safety read the whole manual.
p.55 for music and p.79 for bluetooth instructions.

Samsung u940 downloading music

This is really an out of the way solution, but i have found it to work.
If you don't already have a micro sd chip you will need one, along with two other converters: micro sd to sd, sd to usb.
1. Put the micro sd chip in the phone
2. Take it out, and assemble the pieces so that you can connect it to the pc
3. Connect
4. move you music into the music folder on the phone.

P.S.: The software that the phone comes with i found to be completely useless, and i haven't used it once.
Hope this helps

I want to download songs onto my new LG Vantage. Do I use the USB? Is the USB port the same as where I charge it?

Hi!
You could use either micro sd card to add music to your lg vantage or usb cable. Add music to the micro sd card using the card reader(present in laptops or can be bought seprately) or use usb cable to connect your phone, open it, you would see a folder named music or songs, Now drag or copy your favourite songs into your phone.

Note if a folder named music doesn't exist then don't worry just copy the music and paste it.

Thanks
