When the computer is booting up hit F8 until the screen comes up that allows you to select "safe mode". When you enter computer in safe mode you can go into "user accounts" and either delete the password all together or reset it. You can even create another user account if you want. Please let me know if this was helpful.

I cant log in to my computer i put my password & it says wrong password please help

Do you have a reset USB? If you do, plug it in and click reset. If you can't, try searching the web on how to use BIOS and Safe Mode to help you.
Possible Reasons: 1. Your computer was hacked by a hacker 2. You changed your password and forgot 3. Someone could have absent mindedly clicked something
To prevent in the future, you should create for an account for every user, and try to defend yourself against hackers, by always having the most up to date anti-virus software.

Lost password after reinstallation

There are a couple methods which you can try:

When the computer first boots Windows you can press F8 to access an advanced boot menu.

From there you can choose to boot the computer in "Safe Mode" which changes the system start-up mode.

There should be a hidden user that appears as "Administrator" that you can select...

(When Windows is installed for the first time there is an option for the "Administrator" password. This password is not required and is usually left blank. If you left the password field blank then clicking on user will log you in automatically. Otherwise, you're required to enter the original password you choose to protect the system.)

Log-in into windows as "Administrator" and create a new user in the control panel that you can log-in to the system normally with.

Restart the computer and log-in under the newly created profile to regain access to your system.

If you can't log-in under your user or the administrator profile because you forgot both passwords you will have to do an advanced recovery process, or wipe the system completely.

(Here is a link for a Linux Boot CD image, burn to a disc and boot to change the Administrator password in Windows XP/Media Center/Server 2003 Systems.)

If this doesn't work you can boot to an alternative recovery disk, Windows CD/DVD, partitioning software, or third party password recovery tool.

When all else fails, you can delete and create a new partition; then you would have to run the Windows setup again to recover your Operating System and drivers.

MY COMPUTER LOGGED OFF AND NOW I NEED TO PROVIDE A USER NAME AND PASSWORD IN ORDER TO ENTER INTO MY COMPUTER!! I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I EVEN HAVE ONE??? PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok,
let it get to the user log-in screen, hold down Ctrl and Alt and hit the Del key twice, a new log-in screen should appear, in the top box type administrator and leave the password blank and click ok.
See if it lets you in the administrator account and then please post back

Need help getting wireless netgear to work with lap top. Lap top was reconfigured and don't have old password.

If you don't have the wireless password for your wireless connection. The thing to do is log into the Router's webpage via the Router's IP address. From there you can go to the wireless section and in most routers this section shows the wireless password.

If you have trouble getting on to the Router's webpage. Just comment back on this and I can probably step you through it.

Trouble logging on to lap top

Go to www.loginrecovery.com from a working computer and download the application on that site to a disk. You can then use that disk as a startup disk on your laptop to get your password.

How do i log on to my admin, from my lap top when on holiday thankyou frank

If your computer's operating system has an administrator password that you did not set or do not remember, try the default password of 'admin', 'administrator', or leave the field blank. If none of these are correct, then your administrator password would need to be removed. Geeksquad has licensed tools to remove windows passwords, and can probably perform the password removal in under 2-3 minutes if there isn't a line for service when you bring it in. I would suggest that as it might be the easiest method to reclaim access to your administrator account.

Hope that helps.
