Leaking from door

Hi Bungle
Door leaks usually mean that there is a tear in the door seal which is allowing water through. OR it could mean that you keep the door closed between washes which doesn't allow the flexible seal to relax.
If it's the latter situation, leaving the door ajar between washes MAY help.
If it's ripped/damaged you'll have to have it replaced. Not a job for the handyman as sometimes 'special tools' are needed.
Usually the front panel has to be removed to access the rear clamp and the counterweights removed..
Good luck

Replace the bellow in my front loader whirlpool washing machine

Hello. You don't need any special tools to do this. Feel around the edge of the bellows seal until you find a spring in the groove behind the face of the seal. Using a small screwdriver, lever it over the edge of the seal, and slowly work the ring over the seal face. Peel the seal off of the mounting flange, and roll it inside the drum. Remove the front of the washer, and remove the spring on the inner part of the seal. Replace the seal, making sure that it is oriented in the same manner as the one you took off. Reassemble in the reverse order. There are a number of very good videos on YouTube. Type in "washing machine repair" and you'll find different chapters in what amounts to a series on repair.....good stuff.
Hopes this is helpful to you. Best regards, --W/D-- please feel free to rate this carefully hand crafted answer! Thanx!

Replace Clamp Assembly on door to LG WM2016CW front load washer

Any apliance repair store there is a store that is called Marcon that sells tools and appliance parts. but really all you need is a good pair of vise grips. It is a royal pain to replace the door seal. The only way that i can replace this is to take the whole front panel off. takes me aboutt 2 hours to replace without any special tools just vise grips

I have a LG front loader washer model wm-2032hw. The seal around the door is ripped on the bottom and is leaking on the floor. Would I be able to replace the seal myself? How difficult would it be?

You need to remove the spring loaded wire from around both sides of the seal. The back one is accessable after you remove the front side of the seal. LG does make a special plier (actually, one plier for the front, a different one for the rear) to spread the spring apart to aid in removal and reinstallation, but you can do it without the special toolls with a little effort. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would rate it a 3. Go for it !

Drum bearings

Removal of the front seal (just the side right next to the door needs to be removed) is a spring loaded wire. There is a special tool for it, but it can be done without the special tool. Other than that, mostly phillips head screws and a few metric bolts. The suspension shock absorbers have a tab you need to depress to push them out.

Not a hard task if you coat rims with liquid detergent before trying to install new seal.
Using thumb go slowly around rim working seal all the way back.
Replacing main spring can be done by working bottom to top and then hold left side of spring in place while you pull right side in with long nose pliers.A couple of minutes difficult work and your 90% done.
Care is required so as not to puncture seal,
Main point is to ensure seal is fully seated before applying spring.
Having machine laid on its back makes the job so much easier.

This job took an hour and 30 minutes, the hour spent checking the internet first.
Good luck
Kevin
