Question about Samsung YP-K3 MP3 Player

SAmsung YP-K3 MP3 player - Corrupted library ? cannot delete songs or synch

I have the following problems with my YP-k3. I am using WMP 11, as the samsung software crashed on installation (I have now removed it) , and WMP is my preferred media player. I have over 700 songs on the player, and would rather not reformat it, as some of the songs are licenced and are on their last transfer.
1. Some of the songs on the MP3 display incorrect song info, even though they were once correct.
2.cannot delete songs individually from the MP3 via WMP.
3. Cannot load new songs onto the device via WMP.
4. when I go into the device using My Computer, there are numerous directories, and some of the filenames are gibblegook, not all of the MP3 files appear to be present.
5. It takes "ages" to do a sync, but even after synch, i have no propper control of the device using WMP.

Can i damage the device by reformatting it ? (last resort)

Can I safely delete any of these files ? what is an ALB file? is there supposed to be an ALB file associated with every MP3 or WMA file. Hove come I have deleted the playlist files via My computer, yet they are still present on the MP3 player??

directories, but I cannot see

How do i delete songs and get new ones on there

Use Windows Media Player to put your songs on your Samsung.
Start Media Player, plug in your YP-K3 into the computer using your cord that came with the player. Media player will show your player, then just add your songs as you wish.

To Delete songs, pictures, ebooks, etc. Follow the directions below:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

If I have my YP-K3 plugged in, samsung media studio crashes immediately, and Emodio also does. I want to edit the playlists, the PLA files, is there any other way to do this?

Yes the same thing happens with me. I removed samsung media studio then I create a new folder in My documents, call it by the artist name eg The Beatles. place your mp3's in this file. Now plug in your YP-K3 and double click on it's icon in My computer go to data then music or playlists (whatever you want to do) cut the file you created in My documents and paste it in music or playlists.

yer that's what I do but aparently you can use iTunes

Hope this helps

HOW TO DELETE

First of all, this samsung mp3 player uses its own cable to connect to a computer, you have to use the cable included with your device or yo you can visit samsung .com and checkon ,mp3 player accesories to find the one compatible with your player and buy it. If you already have the cable, plug itinto your computer, you can now delete the songs on your mp3 player using your computer.

Do you have media player 10 or 11 installed?

Media Player 11 causes serious problems. You will need to remove media player 11 and re-install 10 or rollback 11 to 10.

Make sure you have removed ALL traces of media player 11.
