Jane Powertwin - back wheels splaying?

We have a problem with our Powertwin - The back wheels are splaying when the kids are in it,causing the brake to catch when moving. The bar holding the wheels in does seem quite lose, does anyone know if this is a common problem with this pram, is it easily fixed?

Many thanks

Sorry, need to add, it makes a constant juddering noise aswell as you move along from the brakes and wheels catching I think.

I have the same thing happening to my Powertwin. It started basically at the very beginning of using the stroller. The rear brake bar does not seem to lift high enough not to get caught in between those "teeth" on the wheels. I always make sure that I lift the bar as high as possible but it does not help.
May be it is some failure in these strollers.
I wish I knew how to deal with it cause it's really annoying.

I had a similar problem and I had been told to go to a bike shop as they help you (you can get spare wheels from them too)... Cheaper than from online shops.. They can sort buckled wheels which is what my problem turned out to be!!!!

I have a jane powertwin pro and the rear bar that hangs above the clogs for the rear brake constantly rubs on the cogs making a grinding noise with or without kids in it. Please help

This sounds like either your brake bar is loose or has been bent out of shape. Look at the silver metal pins that click into the black cogs (on the inside of the back wheels), if these are not horizontal, then your brake bar has probably suffered some stress, causing the bar to bend and the pins to touch the cogs.
If the metal pins are totally horizontal, then your brake bar is just probably loose and needs removing and re-rivetting on tighter.

Either way, I would suggest that you contact (if in the UK) this link:

who will be able to assist with the repair. You can also take this back to the retailer and arrange a repair through them.

I hope this helps.

Jane powertwin splayed back wheels-rear brake plastic bracket

This sounds like some kind of excessive weight on the handle bar or a buggy board has been used, either that or too much pressure has been applied to the break bar. On the break bar, this should have a natural curve to it, if this looks wonky, then this is probably the reason. If this is the case, then the bar will have to be drilled off, straightened and re-rivetted back on.
I would suggest that you contact either your retailer for repairs advice, or www.johnstonprams, please note that this does sound like you will have to pay for it to be repaired.

I hope this helps.

Popped tire on Jane Powertwin

Yes, all you need is a 12" inner tube which you can get from most bike stores. It would normally fit a childs bicycle but it is the same size as the Jane rear wheels. If you take the wheel with you, you might even get them to fit it.
