Here is what I found to work. Key in your Product key again and activate it. Close Office without doing anything else..

Open a command prompt / Run as Administrator. Key in one of the scripts below (x86 for 32 bit computers and x64 for 64bit).

c:\>cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act

c:\>cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act

Key this in and press enter.
c:\>reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\officesoftwareprotectionplatform /v USEROPERATIONS /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

Now open Office Check if it is activated.

I bouth a new computer and came a 2007 home and student ms office. But now is asking me for the key??Do I have to buy this code, because is asking for this number, but I cant find in my computer. Thanks..

The trial must have run out. Check the invoice and make sure you did not buy the program and confirm it was a trial. You can either buy the product from Microsoft or you could go with Open Office which is similar but free.

Dont like the fact that I do not have the toolbars as I did in 2003 edition. How can I get back to 2003 version?

if you've recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 from 2003 and weren't happy with the decision, you can easily revert back to your older software. Each version of the Office software package will be considered a different program by your computer's operating system, so to revert back to your previous installation you only need to uninstall Office 2007 and reinstall Office 2003. Difficulty: Easy flow my Instructions
  1. Uninstall Office 2007. To do this, open the "Control Panel" and select "Add or Remove Programs." Click "Microsoft Office 2007" and then click "Remove."
  2. Put your Microsoft Office 2003 compact disc in your computer's appropriate drive. Either a CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive will work.
  3. Click "Next" to begin the installer for Office 2003. Continue to click "Next" until you reach the screen where you are asked for your product key code. Enter the product key code found in the Office 2003 packaging and click "Next."
  4. Enter your name, business name and initials (if you so choose). Click "Next."
  5. Choose which type of installation you would like to perform. You can choose to install each program in the Office 2003 productivity pack, a "typical" installation which installs only the most widely used programs like Word and PowerPoint, or a custom installation where you individually choose which programs will be installed.
  6. Click "Next" to view a summary of all of the installation settings you've specified. If you're happy with the summary, click "Install." This will install Microsoft Office 2003 on your computer using the settings you've meticulously specified.
hope that it will be help full

I have an official version of Office 2007 student version and I was suppose to be able to put it on two other computers. Now I have lost the product key and need to know how to find it within the program...

OK, Microsoft has a specific protocol on this exact situation, If you contact them and explain to them your situation, they will ask you a couple of questions regarding the original packaging and slip.

They should be able to give you the product key of the software.

Click HERE to navigate to Microsoft's support page. Just choose your product below the Office suites heading and follow the steps to get free live assistance from Microsoft themselves.

I give you the above solution, because we are not permitted to give away free serials to software, even thought i believe you.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards

When I try to set up Microsoft Works, for a word processing app, my computer takes me to OpenOffice or Abiword, neither of which are what I had before for Microsoft Works.

Have you purchased or downloaded a trial version of MS Works?

If so, click on the icon or the named program in the start menu (if recently installed it will be highlighted and should be under the All Programs menu.

Once you start the program it should ask for a product key. This will have been e-mailed to you or was on the website (copy and paste product key) when the downloaded program was initiated. If you purchased in a store, or online and received a cd/dvd the product key will be on the envelope that the disc(s) came in.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

MS Office Home/Student 2007 Product Key

What you have is a trail version of the program which is installed on many new PCs. Unless you buy the software and get the key you will no longer be able to use the software and you might as well uninstall it. Microsoft Home Office Student costs around $100. You can also download for free Open Office which will do all Microsoft Office will do and costs you nothing. You can get it here.

To view the Microsoft Software License Terms for your product after it is installed, do one of the following in these 2007 Microsoft Office system programs:
Access, Excel, PowerPoint, or Word
  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Program Name Options, where Program Name is the name of the program you are in, for example, Word Options.
  2. Click Resources, and then click About.
  3. Your Product key will be displayed

I lost my product key . i have microsoft office 2007 profesnal.what can i do for activetion ?

Here is, how you can get your key back.

To obtain a new product key for your Office program in the United States, call 1-800-936-5700 and speak to a Microsoft customer service representative. Outside of the United States, call the number that appears in the activation wizard.
When you call Microsoft for a new Office product key, have the following items available for the customer service representative:
  • The product CD-ROM
  • The computer on which you want to install Office
  • The readable parts of your original product key (if available)
  • The ProductID information in the registry
