Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera
I recently went to use my camera and found that all of a sudden only the soft snap and movie functions work on the camera. No matter what I set it to, it tells me I have it set to one of those.
Also, even when the camera isn't being used, the battery dies. Is this a problem with my battery or the camera itself?
I also have a Sony Cybershot but its a W110. The battery indeed will die out when you don't use it. I usually take mine out of the camera and the life extends a fair bit. But sometimes the date and time will have been lost.
About your functions problem, there is most likely a damaged pin inside the spindle or a damaged circuit board which you cant really do much about.
You can however take it to the reseller and claim on warranty if its still in the time of 1 year or 3 years extended.
If its still within warranty and the reseller rejects it, ring SONY up and ask them.
