I have no sound on my HP pavilion dv6000 - HP Computers & Internet

have u got the proper sound driver supplied by the vendor, which comes with the sound card (in case u have a sound card purchased extra) or with the motherboard driver disk.If the sound driver is installed then check if the power is online in the speaker.
A very silly mistake which most novice often do is that plug the mic. / line-in in the speaker port and speaker in the mic/line-in port. Chech that the green jack (connector) from the speaker is plugged in to the green port of the sound card.Red is for the mic. and white is for the line-in.
