Problems with video playback--Video keeps skipping.
I have a Sony Vaio laptop and everytime I attempt to watch any kind of video or media on the internet, it skips really badly. I cannot even try to enjoy what I am watching. It was not doing this when I first got it, but I have not even had it a year yet. Please help.

First of all make sure your internet speed is right. Make sure no third party program is running in the background which is taking up CPU resources. You can also download DVD decoder like Klite codec free from www.download.com and reinstall the flash player from www.adobe.com

For a laptop, "it is what it is" -- namely that the laptop was designed to use 8MB of your RAM for "video" purposes.
Unlike a "desktop" computer, the video-card is not a "user-replaceable" part.
If your computer is "slow" when downloading from YouTube,
start downloading a video, and click 'pause', to allow the download
to continue, while the playback has been paused. Then, a minute later, click 'resume', to see if the downloaded video "plays" at the "normal" rate, without any video artifacts.
The VAIO Media Gallery is an application to playback Audio, Video and Image file. Uninstalling this application will not affect any other applications installed in the Computer. To uninstall the same you can use Add/Remove Programs in XP or Programs and Features in Windows Vista/Windows 7. Go ahead and uninstall the Application to enjoy the performance of the Computer.
ok this is common problem and a piece of cake to resolve....................the reason why u r not able to see the video what i will advice u to do is to go ahead and uninstall the videostudio 11 plus ....instead u can downlaod vlc player for free i assure u that u will like this and u will enjoy the videos coz vlc is compatible to any kind of videos ...that r realeased nowerdays .......so i asuure that the video problem will be resolved if not then change the graphics card or upgrade it to a nvidia gforce graphics card........................now taking about ur t.v and recording try a system restore if the issue is not resolved then create a back up of ur data and runa recovery from a recovery cd which will take the comp back to factory settings.....................then u can go ahead and download the vlc player fromhttp://en.utilidades-utiles.com/download-vlc-windows-vista.php and then log on to nvidia .com and update the driver if u r using an nvidea graphis card or if u have intel then log on to intel to update the driver ....this will surelyu resolve the issue and u can now watch, record,,etcin ur media center and can view the recorded video in vlc player too.........if the issue is not resolved then mail me at email@example.com
