Question about Golden Technologies Companion II Travel Scooter
The batteries will not charge and I can't get the blooming seat off of this stupid chair. Whoever said that this chair was portable never had his wife try to disassimble it to try to load it or clean it.
Many seats will only come off if you rotate them from the locked position, and continue to rotate it while trying to lift it. Once it is off, feel free to spray a dry lubricant on the shaft on the seat where it attaches to the base. I had one couple that took the scooter apart every time they loaded it, and I gave her a short pipe to help release the front/back latches. As al alternative, they do sell a power lift, or a drive on ramp that you attach to the back of the car.

To remove the seat, which is rather heavy, I found it was necessary to release the seat swivel lock.
This is the lever under the seat on the right side.Hold the lever so that the seat will swivel, and you should be able to lift the seat up of the scooter. Lubricate with petroleum jelly(Vaseline)or similar, before you replace seat.
When the seat is removed, it is easy to lift the cover of batteries.
You can unplug the batteries(all four plugs) and remove to test, or charge each battery with a 12volt car charger.
Of course, before you attempt to do anything on the scooter, unplug and remove charger, and switch of and remove control key.

If the batterys are not charged regularly they fail they are gell batterys you are looking at around £70 for the 2 ,they should be on charge almost all the time, we were lucky just managed to charge my father in laws it lay unused for 4 weeks we had the batterys charged with a battery conditioner then they charged with its own charger
