Question about Toshiba 27A62 27" TV

S-video I am trying to connect my laptop to the tv to play the laptop on the tv with an s-video cable. How do I do this?

If your laptop has s-video out then just plug it in to the tv's s-video input , otherwise its a RCA jack for the video ouput( yellow colored jack )

Is your TV NTSC or PAL
and does your Mac have a video output setting box ?

make sure your mac is putting out the correct video standard

and try another Y\C 'S-Video Cable'

go to your local tv store there is a cable that will do this there about $20 or so.

You might need to play with resolution of your laptop.
Display-properties-settings-resolution.
You can use S-video or S-video-HDMI cable.

Directv now on video 3, and VCR/DVD player won't work


Playing any source on Chan 3 requires RF coax cable connects hook-up.One is in from source box, other is out to tv.I think you have the coax cables reversed!.......T.

It sounds like your cables are connceted ok, but what you neede to do is to be able the switch from one video mode to the other so lets go through the cable and vrc conncetions again just to make sure. From your cable set top box connect your component video (RGB) video out to your TV (RGB) video in via the (RGB)cables. From your VCR connect your composite video (yellow) out to your TV composite video in withe the composite video (yellow) cable. From your VCR (Left & Right audio out)connect your left and right audio connections (White and Red) to the Audio in of the TV (Left and Right). Whith this setup you should be able to use the TV to switch between the two A/V inputs using the remote control.

if you have the remote control number RM-C203 with your tv than try noise muting in your menu settings mine did the same thing i just put noise muting off and it worked for me

Can't connect DVD player


Use your TVs remote and select AV usisng the TV/AV button. Most DVD players use the AV Cables to connect to TVs.Yellow Video Out to Video IN of TV, REd and White Audio Left and Right to Audio L and Audio R IN of TV.
