If your psp 2000 , it is the motherboard problem. if your psp is 1000 model. then change your memory slot.

My psp wont read my memory card but other psp's will please help

if you've tried multiple working memory cards in your psp the memory slot is probably bad. One thing you can try though, go ahead and blow some air into the slot just to make sure theres not dirt or dust that is inside of the slot.

If you do that and it still won't read memory cards then the memory card slot is bad.

Psp Problems

probably it lost some small screws or things that make the game slot close. Try looking for the small screws or the things, and try putting them back. It should be easy, or not if your PSP's game slot would really not close. Either it has been "moved" from it's original position. Try aligning it and closing it.... really hope this would help, 'cause that must have been a bad fall.

How did this "internal error" happen? Did your PSP fall or something? What happened before you encountered this Error?

Memory stick won't go in

The only way that I know of is to dismantle the PSP or send it in for repair. Taking the PSP apart is a very long process and although it is reasonably easy, the screws can easily be lost and it is easy to forget where everything goes when putting it back together. I would reccomend putting a small screwdriver in the card slot to find out if there is something stuck in it but you cannot tell what you are doing and the contacts for the memory stick are quite fragile and you could easily damage them.

If you are prepared to take the PSP apart then post a comment and I can guide you throught the process.

Hope this helps

Memory card or slot error

if the problem is not the memory stick, then you have a damaged card slot in the psp.

when you insert it on slot, you must make it slowly. if you strongly inserted it, you must have damaged it. or in better cases you have a dirt, faulty contact in slot.

first, look inside the slot, and try to see if the contacts are intact and lined with each other, something like this: | | | | | | | if you see that some of the contact are out of place ( | | | / | | | ), you must take it back in place. the same problem happens with nintendo ds games. if dirt, buy a cleaning kit and clean the contacts.
