Go into your video cards advanced settings-- right click anywhere on an empty spot of the desktop- select properties-select the settings tab at the top--when the new window opens, look for another tab at the top with your video card model number on it and select. now that your into your video cards settings, look for a setting to "enable multiple displays" after you enable it, close all windows, restart the computer and make sure both monitors are powered on.

to determine driver version: 1.go to START- 2.settings - 3.controll panel - 4.display - 5.click the settings tab at the top - 6.then advanced at the bottom - 7.click adapter tab at top - 8.hitting the properties button will open another screen -9. then select the driver tab and it shows you the version of the driver that is installed.

If you want to change settings click on the tab stating the name of your video card at step 7.

this will open the advanced settings of the card. what your looking for is something enabling both monitors. If you give me the model and brand of your video card and integrated card and your operating system version , i can help you further

I have Radeon HD 5450 2GB DDR3 Video card, which resolution of moniter would support this video card

This video card has a max resolution of 2560x1600, so generally any LCD or LED monitor on the market should work for it. If you want to have it work at it's maximum though I would recommend a bigger monitor or you won't be able to read anything on the screen. Personally I use a 32" at 1360x768, not the highest resolution but it is what I am comfortable with.

My Acer aspire ax1700 PC dsektop wont work and here are the steps I took: First one day it wouldn't power up - The power led would blink once the fan (power supply) would come on for a split second and...

Hi, I had the same inital problem as you, except I didn't put a new video card as I was please with the Onboard card performance that even has an HDMI port. Not sure if your problem is solved already, but in my working process, I first suspected the Power Supply, and I had everything out of the case but the Mother Board. When I tried to fire it up I was always getting "No signal" on the screen, not even a blink from the BIOS. I then put everything back in place, then after the HD started spinning of and Windows booting, the screen started coming on. I felt it was like if I needed Windows to have a clean booth to replace the video drivers and switch to the InBoard card. Hoping this of any help.

My screen keeps turning on and off when i play a game or open rocket dock and im thinking its my drivers but i updated all my drives what do i do?

At first look I'd check the mechanical.

So: TURN OFF YOUR ENTIRE SET UP including monitor and wait for a few seconds. Spare static has been known to cause card failure if it isn't properly ground and seated so check to make sure your card is properly seated and secured...internal ribbon and power cables and external monitor cables

Problem installing ATI Radeon X1300 256mb in Dell Optiplex GX260

Hi edward,
I'm looking at the specs of your dell and of the video adapter.
It appears the Power Supply in your dell may to under powered for the video card.
According to dell's website the largest psu that ships with that unit is 250 watts while the radeon x1300 needs a minimum of 250 watts to run and assuming you have the 250 watt version you need to take into consideration that the psu is also powering your CPU, memory, fans, hard drive/s and other components on in your system so 250watts just isn't enough.
You may want to contact dell and see if there is a larger psu that you can purchase. I would recommend one at least in the 400 watt range.
I hope you get it straightened out I certainly know how frustrating it can be to not be able to use new hardware.
Let me know how it works out.

Tried To Install New Card, monitor not responding.

Tech is suggesting that you pressed too hard while switching back & forth & may have hurt the motherboard by bending it. This a common problem. I can only suggest that remove your old card & clean the PCI slot with canned air. Carefully reseat the old card pressing evenly downwards till the card is seated. Use a flashlight & check where the card connects to the slot. It should be level across the PCI slot. Do this while the power cord is unpluged from the PC. Plug the power back in & start the PC.
Some video cards require extra power. Your newer card may need a four pin power connector to run. Please check the instructions that came with the RADEON X1300.
