Open the back of the phone and look right above the battery there should be a little circle if it is red...means phone has water damage. the same thing happend to my phone there is little if anything that can be done to fix the problem

yeah i know what you're saying! my phone works fine, but it's just sending the texts is what freezes mine, and i dont want to lose my info. either. i wonder if there is a solution to fix this? my dad found that there is some setting configuration that will set the texting settings to normal or something, but he's working on that now, but i will keep posting updated information!
This worked for me - I had to do it several times because I never figured out whether to start with the phone "off" or "on".
Press # * and the "end call (red)" buttons simultaneously and hold for several sections. Then power phone off and back on. I read this was the equivalent of "safe mode" booting for a RAZR. My phone has performed flawlessly since I did this on the 6th of February!
