Your car has a factory amplifier and when there is an open connection the amp won't turn on. The wires need to be capped and taped so they are not grounding out.

42.1i passenger side rear has power but sound is very quiet and tinny. all 3 other speakers work fine.

It sounds like the woofer part of the speaker is bad, while the tweeter is still good. You are going to have to replace the speaker. Speakers are generally sold in pairs, so it would be best to replace both rear speakers at the same time.

Left rear windshield speaker blew out in 1998 lincoln town car...play music fine, but when i turn on bass, HUGE thumping sound, i think its ripped. How can i go about replacing it myself? i believe that...

Hello nathan_ebay9,

Replacing speakers is definitely one of the easy DIY jobs in car audio. And rear deck speakers are the easiest of all. You can usually access them directly from the trunk and it's simply unhook the wires, remove the speakers, mount the new ones, and reattach the wires. Finished!

It's best to replace both in a paired set. The sound from different types of speakers will be different and they're usually sold as a pair anyway.

I'd recommend the Jensen's shown here. They will outperform most stock speakers and sound better too.

Hope this helps.

I recently bought a porsche 2002 911 and it didnt have a cd magazine in the cdc-3 player I have been watching on ebay for used one. I believe there are two diff. shapes. item #260429427637 seemes to be the...

i believe one was an Alpine and the other a Sony or Clarion, not really sure. I would wager that the reason you didn't get the magazine is cause the cd won't play. The 3disc in dash changer Alpine made years ago had the highest incident of repair of any thing they made. Great idea but like everything else the devil is in the details, and the loading mechanism had to be so precise and no room for even the slightest error and in a car environment thats damn near an impossibility, and hey what the hell do you need a 3 disc changer in a Porsche 911 for anyway?? Dr Porsche wanted you to listen to the beautiful sound of that killer 911SC motor grooving thru those gears like a hot knife thru butter... You probably have the Becker radio too? I work on every Porsche because there is a Porsche only shop close by to mine and Jack sends me all you Porsch freaks... I recommend Capt. Kirk you go get the Kenwood KDC-X993 head unit if you have the single DIN radio. It has a USB port in the back, built-in Bluetooth for you to keep your hands on that $2000.00 leather wrappen Grants Steering Wheel and on top of that it can match your interior VDO gauges like a *****, you would swear it came right from Stuttgaurt... It looks as good as a supermodel sitting next to you in those Riccarro Race seats that cost as much as my freakin' house... And the Kenwood just FITS in that car... Check it out.. You can thank me later... Peace out ... mark @ Sounds Good to Me. Tempe, AZ

No sounds through sub and rear speakers

Your radio probably has a sub on and off function on it that was reset when it lost power. Go into your setup menu to turn it on.

I need the colour wire description for a 2000 dodge caravan Im removing the the factory stero and installing after market stero and need wring diagram , what each wire is for ,speakers ,power etc.

HI.
In the caravan are 2 types of Radio.
1. Normal sound system.
1 Premium sound system.
Note: If you don't want to cut the original wires,
You can buy a harness connector to install the aftermarket Radio. The connector are made by aplication, and are plug in.
The colour of the connector are the same colour with the Aftermarket Radio. Just you need to soldering or just put joint connectors.

Normal: colour of wires.

Pink = Battery voltage.
Red/withe = Ingnition Voltage.
Brown/red and Dark green. = Left front speaker.
Dark bku/red and Voilet = right front speaker.
Brown light blue and brown/yellow. = left rear speaker.
Dark blue/orange and dark blue white = right rear speaker.
Ground is a single wire behind the radio.

If you have a premium sound. You need to use the front speaker out to connect the speaker on the door and the speaker on the dash. To complete the 6 speaker.

OK... I hope this information work for you.

Thank you , For use fixya. Rate please.
