Well unfortunately your flash drive have a static shock, that may cause for a electricity variation in some PC, that is a fisic damage and your flash drive can't be repaired...sorry

but i recommend to you to buy other, because your flash drive have a serious fisic damage is very unussual in a SanDisk flash memory, but sometimes the variation of electricity cause the fisic damage

I'm unable to find some important data stored in my Sandisk micro cruzer. I'm not sure if I accidently deleted it or if it is corrupted. Please suggest if there is a way to recover the files.

If the pen drive is working, the data is there and can be recovered. I think it could be due to virus activity. Some virus make the contents of the drive hidden, thats why user can't see the files and the space available for use is less than the capacity.
It is suggested that go to FOLDER OPTIONS - and select SHOW HIDDEN FILES. It may show the hidden files. Otherwise, you can use any data recovery program to recover the data. Please not that you should not sav/write any data to avoid overwriting the existing data.

Hope this helps!

Sandisk 4gb cruzer micro showing 0 bytes and not accessible, i have valuable data in it

Files on a flash drive canbe corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon andthen click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flashdrive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you need to format the flash drive, but you willlose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

I lost the directions for using a micro mini

Find a USB-port on your computer.
Insert the flash-drive into the USB port.
Windows will report "found new hardware", and will assign a "drive-letter" (e.g., 'A:' is your diskette drive, 'C:' is your disk-drive, 'D:' is your CD-ROM device) to the device.

Then, use "Windows Explorer" to drag-and-drop files onto the new drive-letter (probably 'E:').
