Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
I have a Compaq Presario V6700 laptop and the audio seems to not cut off from the internal speakers when I plug in my headphones. Is this something to do with the sound card? I am not quite sure what sound card I have, nor do I know where to look for the model information. I looked in the 'Hardware' tab of the Audio section in the control panel and it indicates the laptop has "Conexant High Definition Audio" but doesn't show a model number. Anything I can do other than install a different sound card?
I got the same probem and i am trying to find the solution. it could be that your sound system is different and the right driver is not installed. do you know what is the exact model of the sound card installed as per the laptop specs?
