Ok all you need to do is the take the card out of the camera and put it into the relevant slot in your computer. If you have no slot in your computer for the card, buy yourself a card reader, which can be bought very cheaply (about £7.00 her in the UK), which will have a variety of card slots for SD, CF XD etc. Plug this into a USB port on your computer and your computer should load the photos automatically, but you will have to tell the computer where to save the pics etc. As for software to edit your pictures, you could do a lot worse than download Picasa 2 from Google. It's totally free and very easy to use. Have fun!

You can download the user manual (English) from: http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/coolpix/P1P2_en.pdf
The following is taken from the manual (page 61): "Using the UC-E6 USB cable and PictureProject software provided with your camera, you can transfer photographs and movies to a computer and view them. Before images can be transferred (copied) to your computer, PictureProject must be installed. For information on installing PictureProject, see the Quick Start Guide and the PictureProject Reference Manual (on CD). You can transfer images to a computer using a wireless LAN and play back the pictures on computer. See "Wireless Transfer Mode" (c132) for more information."
Or you can use the Windows XP software. Step by step instructions on downloading and installing the software is given in the following website: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/takeit/transfer.mspx
Hey emedic121, The first thing you should do is to install the Olympus master software that came with your camera on your computer. Next you need to connect the camera to your computer using the supplied USB cord, and then you should start up the software by double left clicking on the software icon. Lastly you should download your image files from the camera to your computer, and then disconnect your camera from the computer. You can also use a memory card reader that plugs into a USB port on you computer and download your images using that. More detailed instructions start on page 35 of your manual. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Allan Go Ahead. Use Us.
Once you have properly connected your camera to your computer (see FAQ #2 listed above), your computer will see your camera (connected and powered on) as a disk drive - most likely listed as "removable disk." Now that you know where to look to find the images, they can be viewed and/or downloaded in a variety of programs. Please visit our Learning Studio for specific step-by-step instructions (complete with examples and visuals) for further assistance in viewing/downloading images.
