Hi freyapaige when you do system restore..........what it does is restore the drivers ect back to that date, it will not erase anything you have created as in files and documents however once you do a restore, any programs you have to put on the computer since that date will not function so if nortons was one of these programs you are going to have to re-install it, or go back to the restore function and choose undo the last the restoration. the first solution is the best re-install the nortons.

How do i remove norton 360 fron one computer so i can install it on another

Hello kenelwell,

Norton 360 usually has 3 activations when purchased. If you have only used 1, all you need to do is install it on the new computer and use the same CD Key that you used prior.

There is some information on the Symantec site about this very thing. You can read more about it at:

Norton 360 on additional computers

There are some special conditions if 360 came already installed on your old computer.

Hope this provides you with the needed information.

Lastly, to remove 360 (and other products from Symantec) the best thing is to run the Norton Removal Tool which can be found at:

Thanks for using Fixya.

Need to be able to re install norton 360 after use of restoration disc

If you are in love with Norton.... Personally I use Avast the free version and have foudn it very good. Just look out for it on the internet. As regards Norton, if you do not have a cd then you must have downloaded an installation file and saved that somehwere, if not I am sure that if you are a registerd user you could still downlad it again if it is still covered byt the licence you paid for.

No Internet Connection after Installing Norton 360

I had same problem. I went to Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore. I picked date before which Norton 360 was installed. It got my internet connection back. I'm not even going to try Norton anymore. Time better spent trying to get my money back.

I had purchased Norton 360 online for my lapstop late December 2007 after I did a restore on my system. For the last few months my computer has been running real slow and freezing and locking on me. Today...

firstly, edit your question above and remove your product key, as this could cause you trouble down the road more and people see it, copy it down and then stasrt using copies of this program for free using your product key. Secondly, Norton support will be able send you the file again so that you can complete the process.
