In some cases laptops dont always have built in bluetooth. but have the buttons displayed to make it seems as if they do. (this generaly is for later expansion)

My boss at work has the same issue with her laptop but instead its with the WIFI button.

The problem might be that your bluetooth drivers arn't installed yet. the best option for this would be to go to your manufactuers website and download the drivers from there.

Want to install a bluetooth driver,it displays no bluetooth device found

Based on the comments of one of the user/owner of same laptop model as yours, to quote: " I got this laptop for my school work and it turned out to be able to do so much more. It's perfect size and the battery, compared to other Acer products, last for 3+ hours. It's got more USB ports than my desktop computer. It includes other features like a built in SD card reader,BLUETOOTH, an IR reciever, a built in mike, and much more. So far it has never locked up on me, I guess thats comming from the 1GB of RAM. It easly runs the new versions of Office and Adobe, and is great for the office ot the light gamer."

So based on the above, Bluetooth already exist in your laptop as its driver might be included in the motherboard software, which you don't need to install a new driver, all you have to do is to check if its Enabled & status is in Working Condition thru the Device Manager settings. best regards

How Control Your PC with a Wii Remote –

Control Your PC with a Wii Remote –

While some of us who jumped on the Wii bandwagon have a great time with Super Mario Galaxy and Cooking Mama, there are undoubtedly a few regretful gamers who just can’t get the hang of Nintendo's waggle-based gaming console. But there’s no need to chuck that Wii out the windows yet---you can use the Wii Remote as a wireless pointer for your PC!
Find a compatible Bluetooth Adapter -
The Wii Remote uses Bluetooth to connect to the Wii, but Windows will also recognize it as a human Interlace Device. To connect the Wii Remote your PC, you’ll need a compatible Bluetooth receiver. Most new laptops have integrated Bluetooth, but you can also purchase a USB Bluetooth receiver online for less than $25.

Pair the Wii Remote with your PC -
I paired the Wii Remote with our Dell laptop using the "Add Bluetooth Device" option in the Windows control Panel. For the laptop to recognize the controller, I also had to press the red sync button in the Wii Remote’s battery compartment. Your PC should detect it as Nintendo RVL-CNT-01. No Bluetooth passkey should be required.

Run WiinRemote software –
Now, download and launch the latest version of WiinRemote  (Download  it from http://onakasuita.org/wii/index-e.html). If you successfully paired your Wii Remote, the program will let you calibrate the motion sensor and assign buttons. By default, The program user site controller's gyroscope to control your mouse cursor. The Wii Nunchuck peripheral’s analog stick will also control mouse movement. Yon can achieve more accurate control by activating their sensor, bus you’ll need to mount two infrared light sources above your monitor for this to work. The Wii's IR light bar is suitable, and I powered it by splicing its proprietary plug into a USB cable.

So sit back and enjoy the comfort of using a PC with a remote......

Acer 4220 has a bluetooth button but does it need a bluetooth adaptor? Hard to determine.

If it has got a bluetooth button then it does not need any bluetooth adapter.it has got a internal bluetooth adapter. You just need to press that button in order to enable bluetooth on your laptop.
