Hi!

Assuming this is an HP printer, "drill down" in your HP software until you find your printer toolbox (HP puts it in different spots, but you can usually find it by starting in hte printer properties dialog box in Windows control panel/printers. Inside hte toolbox, there is a tool that will calibrate your printer (which should be done every time you change cartridges). Run the calibration tool, then print a test page. You might have to repeat the process until it is correct.

Good luck, and please let me know if this helps!

Red and blue tint

Often "grayscale" is achieved by mixing some of your colors (CYM) to form composite black and gray - not necessarily just black from your black cartridge. Often there is some yellow used beneath the black -- so if you are getting a red or blue tint, it could mean something as simple as being low on yellow ink.

Yellow ink doesn't print from the cartridge.

Try to change ink jet cartridge with a new one from hp and then blow off the contacts with compressed air. Make sure the tape is removed from the nozzles of the ink jet cartridge before installation.

Good luck on this repair.

When we print a coloured picture, dark colours are orangy red. Can we adjust anything to solve this problem?

If there are no issues with the head it is possible to correct the tint inthe printer. Open printer properties and select the tint settings.
make a test print after you have set and see if there is any change.
If no there can be issues with the head or the ink colours.

Photos colour is red

Use the software on the CD that came with printer, to run a "head-cleaning" cycle -- the ink is not getting from the ink-cartridges, through the ink-jets, onto the paper.

Pictures coming out green

On a picture that you have printed, when you see an area of green, what color should it be? You probably have reduced flow of one of the "balancing" colors. Blue, Yellow and Red add up to Black. If your picture is supposed to be almost black and you don't have enough red, the color will pull toward the blue and yellow, giving it a green tint.

Epson PX800FW prints coming out too red

Hi dotokpa,

There could be a number of reasons for this. The first is that your monitor may not be calibrated for print, so the image you see on your monitor is not actually how it will look when printed. http://epaperpress.com/monitorcal/ is a good website that will explain monitor calibration more in depth and will offer some free programs to calibrate your display.

It may also be that, since your printer is ink cartridge based, that you are running low in ink in some of the color cartridges so I would recommend checking that as well and replacing them if necessary.

Lastly, if you are still having problems you may need to adjust your printer settings, so when you go to print, under advanced tabs, and colour management you may be able to adjust the red, or darkness settings.

Hope this helps and please take a second to rate!

Light in color and won't copy dark. It come out light purple

you may try
1) color ink cartridge--- no enough ink or the cartridge ink channel dryer and constipated, refill ink and put down the cartridge bottom surface to water a little for 1 hr, then set back. or change a new cartridge if not fixed go next
2) print head--- the ink channel dryer and constipated, take out print head clean it's ink channel using cleaner or steep in water (do not touch circuit pin area with water) 20 minutes or longer. then set back and test (you can do more times), still not fixed, your print head have to change.
