You will need to install the drivers that are included with your camera. This may require downloading drivers if they are not on the CD , from the makers of your camera.
try the cd first , if it doesn't work, post here again and include the info joe mentioned.

Try renaming the Drive Name by going to my computer - manage tab. Rename the drive and then restart your computer.Else you can install Gear Driver and check. Before installing gear driver, please make sure you uninstall the existing gear driver manually rather than from add or remove programs. Manual uninstall steps are available if you simply do a google search. I had contacted online technical support for all my technical issues and all my issues are being fixed by TheBestPcDoctor.I got great help from them and now I am a computer savvy person. You can contact them @

Need password

ok best thing to do is to start the computer up in safe mode

when you boot up computer it will say press a key to go to "boot menu"
press that key

then select boot up in safe mode

then log on as admin and delete the password

if that dosnt work then you will need to download and butn this to dvd

http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd

make sure yu do not choose the ods version and you choose the gui if there are two versions

the gui has a graphical usser interface the dos is just like comand prompt

then go into bios set to boot from cd then choose the password tools and use it to delete it

good luck

Maxtor one touch 4 mini makes chirping sounds while trying to link up with the computer , does this for aprox a minute then stops , the conmputer dosnt see the drive.

Usualy this thing happens with my WD Elements drive when the cable is not connected properly or some dust went on the connector, try using a paintbrush and get rid of the dust, sometimes the usb cable's end is corrodated and that's why id doesn't work properly anymore, sometimes it connects and a bit later suddenly it dissapears, this case try another cable. And also a good idea to try out the drive on a different USB port.
If none of these works, try it on a different computer and see what happens there, if it's not working over there with any of these tricks than it's time to bring it back to the shop and use your warranty to get a new one.

Try booting in safe mode. Worst comes to worst create a new use account. Then you will be able to access all the files form the Kalin account through "root drive:\Documents And Settings\Kalin"
Hope this helps,
