Highly recommend that you consider using a card reader to download you pictures. You insert the camera's memory card into the reader, and then insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. The card then shows up as a hard drive so that you can simply copy/paste or drag your picture files onto your computer. Card readers are much more faster in downloading pics, do not require the use of your camera's batteries, and provide much more reliable downloading of the pictures (fewer errors). They're also VERY inexpensive these days. Here are some examples from Amazon:

Alba camera installed ok on my laptop but how do i turn it on

The Alba camera is used to make pictures, not to connect to a computer. You only connect it to a computer, to retrieve the pictures from the memory. As soon as you connect a USB cable to the camera, it expects a computer to ask do send the pictures one by one or some camera's can charge the battery via the USB port.

I need help because I don't know how to move my pictures from my camera onto my SDHC card

Hi,
Don't worry. You need a computer to do this and make sure you have camera driver installed on computer. If everything is ok, now remove your memory card then paired your camera with computer. download your pictures to computer. Then install your memory card in camera, copy your pictures from computer to your memory card. Otherwise just use a card reader to transfer the pictures.

Transferring pictures

You might try putting the pix on a rewritable cd, and then copying them from that drive onto the smartcard drive with your card inserted. Or just try copying directly from your computer file to the smartcard drive with your card inserted, essentially using the computer's hardware to do the job instead of the camera's software.
