I have a virgin mobile Awe zte. Water got spilled on it and now my power button won't work and it only charge up to 35 percent. What can I do to fix this situation? I've tried rice

Hi Keandra,

Unfortunately rice rarely works. Its not the water that damages phones its the minerals in the water that corrodes components and shorts connections once the waters gone.

as a last chance you can try a specialist repair kit that will remove them,

Blackberry 8100 has battery sign with red line through it what should i do

Hi, what this message is telling you is that the battery is not putting out the correct voltage for the phone.
your phone gives you this warning to protect it from over heating caused by faulty battery so all you need to do is get the battery replaced with a new one and your phone will be back working as normal.

this is a common problem and it is a safety feature with the phone to protect it from over heating due to the battery not holding correct charge, the chances are the battery has got bad cells and is causing a voltage drop and this then get protected by the phone to save it from damaging the phone.

once its replaced your phone will be working ok

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please rate this solution.
many thanks

My blackberry bold 9700 was thrown at a fence, and since then it loads half way and then says 'jvm error 545' in black writing on a white background. After saying this it goes off and starts all over again...

There isn't much information on a full-proof definite fix for this problem as it seems to be more broad than physical damage, however, I've managed to find some links you may find helpful. These links will take you to forums where the details for fixing the problem are posted publicly and you do not need to join in order to read them so far.

Please note, this is not a guaranteed fix as parts may be loose or damaged in your phone. Whomever thought it was a good idea to do such a thing to your device may indeed owe you a brand new Blackberry :(

Try these:

The second link is far more detailed though the first link provides first hand experiences from other customers with other troubleshooting methods.

There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way.You will need the unique MEP Code for your Blackberry PEARL 8100 and to get it you can use a website with service for Blackberry unlocking .so you can use a website to Unlock your Blackberry PEARL 8100 online instantly - they are mostly using cables to unlock it and the price is higher then on unlocking websites but the result is the same: SIM free Blackberry.

You may be able to salvage your sim card. As for the phone, I think you will find it is beyond economical repair.
