Samsung yp-u2 My daughter has this yp-u2 mp3 player and she has lost the install disk to put it on her new computer do you know where i can get one from or how to download it?

I've found several YP-U2J (not just YP-U2) MP3 players listed by Samsung support. The direct link to the support for the YP-U2JQB/XAA is http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/YP-U2JQB/XAA . If this link doesn't work, start at the above link and the Manuals & Downloads tab. (You'll see a pop-up, click Send.)

Alternatively, start at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads . Select Media Players under Mobile. Then select MP3 Players and finally the model. Then look for the Manuals & Downloads tab.

You cannot delete a music file directly from the player.You have to connect it to your computer via USB and delete the unwanted files.Please don't forget to rate me if satisfied with my solution.Thanks for choosing Fixya.

Try holding the connection chord in for a bit that may be the answer it may just be loose if so you will need to buy another connection chord

Can't open what? the files? they might be in a bad format, one the player won't, well, play

Visit the Australian part of the Samsung website (http://www.samsung.com) and go to the download centre. Select the option to download the firmware for the Samsung YP-U2. It will be version V2.211.
The download will be a zipped folder. Unzip the folder on your PC and run the setup program. This will install the Samsung YP-U2 software on your PC. Connect the player directly to a USB port on your PC and start the YP-U2 program. Use a paper clip to press the reset button on the YP-U2 whilst at the same time pressing the PLAY button. Hold the reset and play button like this for ten seconds. Once your PC picks up the player it should automatically download the drivers. Release the reset button and follow the instructions on your PC screen to install the firmware. The process will delete all the files currently on your MP3 player but at least you will be able to get it working again. If you fail to get the download at the Samsung website, send an email to fchikonzo@zesa.net and I will send you the zipped folder (almost 5MB).

I plug in my mp3 player and it will say: charging. then it jumps to: DON'T DISCONNET. and it shuts off and repeats. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

looks like the usb interface's worn out.. it might be due to a fall or **** happened to the player.. get it checked at your nearest service center..

You might have formatted it to NTFS. Try reformatting it to FAT.

And if the device is getting recognized on ur PC, ur USB port might be damaged. If not, u might need to go to the CC again.

YOu can get hold of the software from the Samsung website - support section. YOu will find updated software and firmware which should allow your unit to work better
