Error message! I just got a Kodak 5210 printer and it keeps saying "printhead carriage jam. open printer access door. clear any obstruction. check installation of printhead and ink cartilages. close...

To resolve the error condition:

1. Disconnect the power adapter from the printer.

2. Wait 30 seconds to allow the printer to reset.

3. Connect the power adapter to the printer. Turn the printer on if necessary.

4. Wait until the printer is ready to use.

If the error condition continues:

1. Open the printer access door.

2. Remove and install the print head two times. - See http://faqs.kodak.com/atg/faq/attachments/AUR1780-2.pdf

3. Close the printer access door.

4. Wait until the printer is ready to use.

5. If the error is still displayed, contact Kodak

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Will not print photo from main tray

The printer will automatically select the "Print Quality" Media based on its driver settings or the device settings.

You will need to access the properties of your printers software to assure that you have selected photo paper for the tray you wish.

Depending on which model of printer your using, you may have to access the Settings/Options/Page Setup/Tray Setup Menu. Consult your Owners Manual for settings these Tray options. Make sure you have set the tray you wish for Photo Paper (or comparable quality option)

I have a problem with a printer which is connected locally to a pc (comp1) on the network. I can access it from one pc but can not access from 3 other pc. I have three printers locally connected and...

Hi Shueb,

First off, I assume if your running a network, you'd have a server based product running. If so, I would have the server manage the printer as a shared printer. This can be accomplished by setting up the share either in your management console or your active directory. Then the server will administer the rights to the printer. If your running a network with just workgroups, then you will have to right click the printer and go to share and security. From there go to permissions and make sure that the users on those machines have permission to access it.

A real easy way to connect a shared printer on a network is to browse through the entire network icon, and click on the machine that is sharing that printer, and when you see the printer right click it, and go to connect printer, and that's it. As long as you've got all the drivers for all the different OS's on the differnent machine, it will install the driver and give you access.

Good Luck,
Mark

Have Belkin Wireless G Router, how do I set up network to allow wireless lap top to access printer?

You have to add or share your printer to the network.
To do that go to the printer folder and select Add a printer (if you dont have any) or if you have one put the cursor over your icon printer and with the right bottom select "Sharing"
Your icon printer will appear with a small hand below and your printer will be visible on the network.

I suggest you network the printer and access it through the wireless access point.

Also, I do not mean to insult your computer smarts, but if you do not have a driver installed, you will not be able to talk to the printer at all.

How do you put in ink cartridges into the printer

Depends on the printer. If it's the "all in one", then usually you'd lift up the lid + scanner to get access. For the older and single function printers, you'd lift up the access flap. The holder for the catridges will position themselves so they are accessable. Which printer do you have?
