If your mp3 player still under warranty, please return it , they will replace it with the new model. It seem like this model is factory defect. I just got new model of mp3 player when i return it to the retailer.

If your mp3 player is still under warranty, you can claim it, sony will replace it with new model of mp3 player. It seem like this model have some defects just like their laptop batteries.

The songs are stuck on repeat. wont change to the next song on its own, has to be done manually.

When song is playing tap center of display to bring up settings. On left side tap the two arrows following each other to turn off repeat function. If a two is showing this repeats current song only.No number repeats all songs when reaches end.

My nokia e51 only plays one song

Have create a track list containing all the songs? If you haven't done so, create a new tracklist in Tracks,
  1. Select New Track list
  2. Select memory location to save the List
  3. Name the Track List
  4. Then select the songs like like put in the list by Marking each song
If you want to add new songs in the list, you can edit the Track List and repeat pint 4 above.
Then you play the songs in the List randomly, etc.

It keeps saying file error

Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.

'no database'

The Database error is generally because the device does not have enough free space to create the database ( or GUI ). Delete some songs off the device and that should solve it. You should generally keep 6MB free for every 2 gigs of music. Please add to the question for additional assistance. Best of Luck.
