Sounds like you need to BACK UP all your personal information Pictures Documents etc.... to a CD or DVD as they will all be gone after you reformat and then reformat the computer with the original installation disc. Reply if you need additional help doing that.

What antivirus should fit on that problem?

no antivirus will fix a problem... as the word says anti... means before the virus. To keep your computer protected not to clean it after infection.

Can avast antivirus 6.0 harm my pc? i want to download a free anti virus, which one is the best?

Avast is a very good antivirus software.
Although there are alternatives like Avira I personally use and recommend Avast.

I need an antivirus software for my sony laptop

There are quite afew good free antivirus programs available. I have used Avast Antivirus and AVG Antivirus. AVG is slightly better but Avast is less of a burden on memory (it also speaks to let you know when the database is updated!)

I want avast! antivirus Home Edition 6.0.934 Beta / 5.1.889 registration key

avast! antivirus Home Edition 6.0.934 Beta / 5.1.889 is a free program but the registration must be renewed once a year. You can ask avast to send you a new registration code.

Alternatively install the new version of Avast.

Hello there!

As qualified programmer I suggest you to still use Avast antivirus, since thats the best FREE antivirus online. IF you don't like it or get errors like you do, try with Avast antivirus. Do full scan of pc, delete all viruses he finds, then do full scan again. Thats all. Good luck!

I am using windows sp2 os.i am not able to install avast antiviru

If the antivirus is not genuine but one thats downloaded from the net, then most probably it itself caries a virus with it hence your PC is rejecting it. Try to install a genuine antivirus and see the behaviour of the PC......sodeep

Error message

Hi there
It has something to do with your antivirus i think, If you used the System Restore function of your computer, it is very likely to have installed an obsolete antivirus program. Almost all computers now come with an antivirus program some sort installed, and the Restore disks (or built-in System Restore) will reinstall it automatically.

Open the Windows Control Panel, check your list of installed programs, and see which antivirus program you have. Uninstall all but one of the antivirus program's.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!

Amvo.exe application error

Looking around the internet it looks like the file is a virus, thus causing the issues you are experiencing. Download a good virus/spyware protection program like spysweeper to clean it and keep it from happening again.
