No I haven't had a chance to talk to my son or to talk to the computer discount store yet to get one from either of them. I unfortunatley am really diappointed that I didn;t get one with the new machine & really paying for technical support isn't something I can afford to do at this time.

But thanks for the offer.

Need a usb cable for the printer hp g55 to go into new win 7 computer the new computer has no parallel port only usb

These are the different types of USB connections. If you look at the back of your printer, you should see a socket that will take one of these connections. I've not seen the connections for a G55, but suspect its going to be a USB A (computer end) to USB B (printer end)cable. These are very common and you can buy them at most computer shops.

I need a cable to enable connection from Epson lq 1050 to my computer - (DELL Inspiron-530S)

The "data" cable for a printer either is:
* USB -- a small almost-square socket, less than 1/2 inch (1 centimeter),
* parallel-port -- a very-wide connector, more than 2 inches (5 centimeters).

Some printers have *BOTH* connectors.

Determine which connector(s) you have, and buy a cable.
Often, a "Thrift Store" will have the "parallel-port" cable for a dollar.
Don't pay more than $4 for a "USB" cable.
If you're buying a USB cable, make sure that there is a "square" end -- some USB cables have a smaller "mini-USB" connector, in order to connect to a digital camera.

Hook Up possible for EPSON Stylus 880 to new computer w/USB ?

There is no conversion cable that you can use with parallel connector since USB transfers data in Serial mode and the parallel cable handles data in Parallel mode.

Sorry.

Cable

Standard Interfaces of the printer are:

USB 2.0, and 10/100 BaseTX Ethernet.

You can buy an ethernet cable to connect the printer on a network or a USB cable to connect the printer directly to your PC.

Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

The cable you need to connect to your pc is a regular parallel cable. It is called, IEEE 1284 Bi-directional Parallel Cable.
If you intend to use the a USB port this is what you need; USB to DB-25. The printer connection of the cable is the same the only diffrence here is the USB female adapter for the pc.

Cable for hp photosmart 5180 three in one printer

Go to your local computer store or a Big W if you got one there and buy a standard USB printer cable. It has a small plug that plugs into your printer and a larger plug that plugs into your PC.

Connecting my new PIXMA MX700 to my computer

Please read your owners manual.

It's very simple to connect a printer, and ever simpler to read the part of the manual that tells you how.

Perhaps you should get a friend to help you. If I say "Power Cord" and "USB Cable" will you know the difference? If not, I probably couldn't explain it to you through type.

If you think you could tell them apart, then do this:

1. Make sure you have a USB cable. Most printers don't come with a cable to connect to a computer. If yours did, you'll have two cables in the box. The USB and the Power cables.
If you don't have a USB cable, you'll have to go buy one.

2. Put the CD into your CD ROM drive, follow the instructions. When the computer tells you to, plug your USB cable into the back of the printer and the computer. Plug the power into the printer. Turn the printer ON.

The computer should detect the printer. Follow the instructions on the computer screen.

That should be all there is to it.
