Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

No video playing but full audio works Why?

All the connections with the video cables are correct.
I get full audio through the tv.
The system is working fine I just cant get the video to play.
Before the system quit showing the screen it would go from looking like 360 graphics to like you playing the original Nintendo.
I know that my video cord is fine I tried it on another system.
Please Help.

Install home theater insignia

How are you connecting the devices?

If you have used the cable box audio out (RCA) to the audio in (the ones just right of the digital coax audio out and the S-video out) on the home theater system, make sure that you have selected the correct Source. (Use the Source button on the front of the system to select AV1 or AV2. This toggles between AV1, AV2, tuner and DVD. It's the right-most button below the display screen. Alternatively, use the Tuner/Aux button (second from the bottom on the left) on the remote.) Note with this connection, the video source cable should go to the TV directly. Unless it is a composite video signal. Then connect the RCA video out (REC out). Make sure that the audio digital output is off. Press Setup/Exit (just above and to the right of the arrow keys) on the remote. Go to the audio menu (press the left arrow key twice) and press OK. The first item in the list is the digital output and should be blank unless you are feeding the audio to another system.

Next try a different audio cable and check that your speaker wires are all connected. Check that the cable box is getting power and a signal from the provider. Connect it to the TV to recheck. If it isn't, make sure that the cables didn't come loose on the box while you were making the connections to add the system.

If you have a newer cable box with HDMI or digital audio out, these most be connected differently. A digital to analog audio converter will work with the second option. For an HDMI connection, connect that cable to the TV, then connect the TVs analog audio out to the NS-H2002. Then go to the Audio menu of the TV and turn on the external audio and turn off the internal speakers. (If your TV has a headphone jack as the only analog out, then this step may not be needed. However, you'll need a 3.5 mm to RCA stereo cable or adapter.)

Check if the audio works with another source (like a DVD). If another external source works, then it's the cable box or the connections to it. If no external sources work but you can here a DVD play, it's probably the input jacks on the system.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with more information about the cable box outputs and the TVs inputs and outputs if you need additional assistance.

I have a 32 "

Check how you have the satellite cabled. I suspect that you have the video from the satellite to the TV but the audio cable going directly to the stereo. You probably have the DVD audio and video going directly to the TV. (I'm assuming you have the 32LA30rq and not the 32LA30rqd which has a built-in DVD and thus has the audio connection inside the TV.)

Since you don't mention which connection you are using for the DVD player and for the satellite, I will just mention the basics. If your DVD player is connected to one of the HDMI ports, that cable carries audio and video between the TV and the DVD player.

Devices that use component video cables use two separate cables. One cable with two sets of three RCA plugs carry the video; a second cable carries audio with 2 RCA plugs on each end. When you connect these, you do not have to connect the audio to the TV. (Similarly, a composite video connection can be modified for one line with the video signal going to the TV and the audio cable going to a speaker system.)

If my solution is correct, you may want to rearrange things. You can connect the satellite audio out to the TV audio in at the same location as you have the satellite video in. Then connect the TV's audio out (to the right of the component 2 in and above the coax audio out) to the stereo. Then switch the TV speakers off to use the stereo - Menu > Sound > Other Settings > Speaker On/Off. Then both devices will play either at the TV speakers or the stereo depending on the state of the TV speaker setting.

The manual is available here: http://tv.rca.com/product/manualdown.asp?modelnum=32LA30RQ .

I hope this helps.

Yes, IF your cable or satellite box has an optical digital audio out connector...

Page 10: "Connecting a digital component"

NOTE

When playing a video component such as a DBS tuner or cable box;

• To listen to the sound, select "AUX DIGITAL" as the source to play.

(See page 14.)

• To see the picture, connect the video output jack of the component to

the video input jack of the TV directly, and select the correct input
mode on the TV.

Game sound doesn't work

Hello..

What you are experiencing is as a result of bad audio connection.

Please Check the mute function on your TV or audio system if there is no sound

Check the audio settings of your device to make sure it "sees" the PS3. Also make sure you are using the correct audio cables and they are properly connected.

Make sure the input mode on your TV is compatible with the connectors used by the PS3

Also check the audio settings of the game you are playing..

Make sure that the DVD player is connected into the correct inputs on the receiver and that the receiver also has the correct input selected to play. If your TV also has component video inputs it is best to connect the player directly to the TV. Otherwise, make sure you have the TV connected to the receiver via component video out.

Samsung ht-z310 home theatre audio problem

All,

I submitted an earlier request trying to determine why surround sound wasn't coming through all speakers when playing my TV.

Looking further into the Samsung site I found out that you MUST connect the optical cable from the home theater unit to the CABLE BOX and not to your TV to get surround sound...I'm currently in the office but will change the connection once home...try connecting to your CABLE BOX instead of your TV and it should resolve the problem.

Connecting bose 321 system to lg hd flat screen, bose receiver plays fm am ok threw speakers.tv will not play threw bose speakers.bose dvd plays sound ,but no picture

You will need a Component Video Cable
Connect the Red Green and Blue Connections from the TV to the Bose.

if your audio is coming from the TV, also connect stereo audio from the TV's audio out to the "TV" input on the bose.

if you want to hook up other devices (VCR, BluRay, etc) the video will go directly to the TV and audio will go directly to the Bose
