All the cables should only fit in one way , IDE1=hard drive , IDE2=disk drive , you need to look carefully at each one for notches that fit into slots. are there any specific cables that you are refering to?

I have the same motherboard. The solution that worked for me uses the pinout for a similar AOpen cube, the EX65. See

Have an AOPEN AX6BC EZ m'board running XP,want to LAN connect

Have you checked in Device manager to ensure your driver is working and that the device is enabled? The driver may need to be upgraded. Most likely the PCI card is not installed with a proper driver.

Also check plugs at both ends of Cat5 cable to make certain all wires are secure. If you added this card then you may have to clear the CMOS and reinstall it. (Be sure to uninstall the cable first.)

Finally, most motherboards today do not have plug n play enabled by default. Go into your set up and see. You are actually better off in some cases with it disabled.

Please write back and let me know how it goes for you.

How to change cmos battery on aopen xc cube ux45g 1394

Although this question is really old I would like to answer it as I had the same problem a few days ago. This first answer from ikkenom is not really good, it is to general.
If your Aopen XCube UX45G forgets BIOS settings like time, boot order or other options it is very likely that the battery needs to be replaced. To replace the CMOS battery of the XCube UX45G you need a new CR2032 battery. The battery socket is a bit hidden. It can be found next to the IDE ports. See this image: http://www.informationsarchiv.net/uploads/image/8182/xccubeez65-25.JPG . First turn of the power chord, remove the battery as ikkenom described and insert the new battery. The positive pole (+) has to be positioned in the way that this pole can "see" the RAM slots. Turn back power chord, start the computer und reset BIOS settings.

Hi,

Yes it has onboard audio.

Here is a manual link:

ftp://ftp.aopen.nl/pub/manual/mb/mx34u/mx34u-ol-e.pdf

You can go to the Aopen sit eto download the driver if it is not working.

Go to http://usa.aopen.com/download.aspx and Select Motherboards in the drop down Product Selector. Then select your MB model #. Then select the category...if you need the Audio driver, select Driver. (Manual, Bios, etc.)

Thanks for using Fixya.

Manual for aopen ux945g

I am doing more research and trying to get the manual so please bare with me. I found a site but the manual is not downloading so I'm still looking for you. it seems there is a problem with getting your piticular motherboard manual but i will still be looking. one thing you could consider is looking at a motherboard manual that is simular to yours, because the pins and the RED FIREWIRE wire hook up will be the same, but I will continue on looking for It. also just a little hint on the pins , each set of pins on your board are very close to the intended connection , USB , AUDIO , ECT...

Once the ftp: pdf manual opends go to Motherboard Map for the location of the pins you have in question. To connect your case LED's to the motherboard goto page 29 in the pdf manual.

Manual for aopen mk77m11

http://download.aopen.com.tw/default.aspx
contains the drivers, bios updates, manuals, and other assorted downloads for various Aopen motherboards. You will have to select your particular mainboard from a list, and once the mainboard is selected you may have to suffer a small delay before more pertinent data shows up. Info is coming from Taiwan and even here in Korea is was slow but then again Aopen had a large selection of systems last time I used them.... As always before updating any bios, pay attention to small print.
