Question about IBM Corded Phone IBM412CID

Redial Button on IBM-412CID stays lit

We have 5 phone systems on a 4-line plan. I have 2 of the systems that the Redial Button stays lit. I have reprogrammed all 5 phones and these 2 still have the redial button lit on them. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

Looks like it worked...these phones always give me problems. I do have another issue with them.

When one person is on line 1, I can pick up the phone to make an outgoing call and it picks up line 1 and I can hear the conversation. Do you know anything about that?

I have all phones have appropriate extensions assigned to them. So that didnt help. Any other suggestions?

Try unplugging power, and see if this simple reset can help.

Check also page 22 of the user manual here.

To cancel auto redial, simply press redial and hang up the phone.

If phones are operating on same extension number, that is normal.

Probably that (second problem ) is because the extension numbers are not programmed properly.

    To program an extension number:

    1. Press [STORE]
    2. Press [1][0]
    3. Enter the two digit number you wish to assign to this phone.
    4. Press [MUTE]
A short ring will be heard to signal successful programming.

To reset extension number, simply unplug the phone from power.

Note that extension numbers get reset each time you have a power outage.

How do you change the time on the phone system ?

Toshiba 2000 series phones can be used with a lot of different Toshiba systems. With that in mind, this should cover your system.

Leave the handset on hook, press intercom # 6 5 2, then enter the time of a 24 hour clock, entering 2 digits for the hour, 2 digits for the minutes, and 2 digits for the seconds – enter a leading 0 for any single digit entered, press Redial, press Speaker.
This must be done at extension 200 – usually the receptionist phone. For example, if the time is 2:15 P.M., press intercom # 6 5 2, 1 4 1 5 0 0, Redial Speaker.

I have misfiled the manual and need to record a new message on the answering service.

Here is a link to the manual. The link has it as IBM and IBM-412CID, but they are the same phones! Bell Equiptment and IBM both sold the 412CID under their names, no difference.

Here is the manual:

NEED TO CHANGE TIME ON THE PHONE...HELP

There a few different types of systems that work with that phone. I'm guessing that its either going to be a dk 40i or dk 280.
This must be done at extension 10 – usually the receptionist phone. For example, if the time is 2:15 P.M., press intercom # 6 5 2, 1 4 1 5 0 0, Redial Speaker.

I think this feature is dependent on your system - the phone display is in agreement with the entire network. Check to see what system your phone is on - ours is a Strata DK-280 - and then search Google to find a total solution to changing time.

No ringer

Hello,

I would suggest unplugging the phone from power and the phone jack for about 5 minutes and see if that will clear the DND LED.

Here is a link to the manual.
http://www.wedophones.com/Manuals/Aastra/IBM-412CID%20Four%20Line%20Phone%20User%20Guide.pdf

Please refer to Pg 38 specifically for disabling DND.

Thanks
