How can i connect the router? i got a intellinet 192.168.1.1 there is one wan and 4 ports are there.i have dialog broad band connection.how can i connect it?or iwant to install any software?

This is very easy to do and you should have no problems doing this. The first step to installing it connecting your router to your broad band router through the wan port. All you do it take your Ethernet cable that went from your broad band router to your computer and attach it to your new routers WAN port. next wile your new router is turned off, turn off your broad band router and then turn it back on wile it is booting up turn on your new router this is not always necessary but it will make sure that they sink together properly. And that's it your done just hook up all of your other computers to the remaining ports and they should work with out a problem.

PS. this is just the basics of setting up your router if it has wireless you may want to think about implementing some security measures such as encryption.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,
Norse

I am trying to do a setup for intellinet wireless but cannot get to the login in page

May I suggest you go to Cisco and get the evaluation version of Network Magic. Google Network Magic. They have a utility in that software, free download and free unlimited use for a week followed bu a most features enabled free for life use license.

That will take you right into the device and you can do what you want from there on.

You have a switch which is like a hub. You want a router, the router will assign IP addresses to each computer in your home. If you need to set up port forwarding then you do that within the router settings. For the most part newer routers have Universal plug and play which will handle the port forwarding for you.

Configure with utorrent

1.) To set up a static Ip address on your computer, click start, control panel, network and internet connections, network connections, right-click on local area network, click properties. In the window select tcp/ip, then click on the properties button.

Since your default gateway address is 192.168.2.1. Click on the selection titled 'Use the following ip address' Your Ip address should be 192.168.2.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.2.1. Then in the next section click on the selection titled 'Use the following DNS server addresses' Preferred DNS would be 192.168.2.100 and alternate would be 192.168.2.200. click ok and you are done.

2.) As for the second problem, refer to the following link from the intellinet website. http://portforward.com/help/pfprogression.htm
