I was watching the TV this morning and something went pop and the screen went to a weird muticolor view and it has a curved portion of the screen on the top and the bottom.

Hello check the cable box connections to see what type of connection you are using for television, if you are watching in HD then you might of changed the video input or source button was hit by mistake.
i also had the same problem but mine kept making a weird sound like a squeky mice or something...so i hit the back of my tv and it just appeared back to normal...try hitting it at the back but not extremely hard. Best of luck!
If you have a Sony DLP, then the loud pop you heard is your lamp. The lamps last approx. 4K-6K viewing hours. Read your manual for replacement part number to reorder and very simple to replace yourself.
Is that hard/expensive to fix? Where can I find the parts?
