Look in the power supply section first for bad caps, post back what you find inside, pictures will help a lot to guide you through, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Try pushing the menu button and the right arrow button on the monitor together for about three seconds. The message "controls unlocked" should appear.

SOURCE: Easy set package won't open. Monitor Driver won't install.
Hi mquinhoneiro,
I got the same problem. Probably there is something with EasySet Package. First time I installed driver + easyset like instruction said a I got "osd locked".
My solution:
1. Unistall your ati/nvidia driver with control panels
2. restart computer
3. you monitor probably will display 640x480 standard resolution
4. system recognise your vga card and install standard driver
5. restart
6. install lg driver depend on our monitor and connection
7. then should work. if not
b) install again but this time when you press install hold for 10 seconds menu button.
8. update driver from nvidia/ati site.
For me this help but easyshare wont install again. But I don't use it .
Anyway monitor is good for the price but have little "cool" colors (perhaps from blue lcd led).
My configuration for ~6500k setting
gamma 0
red 55 ( 60 if you want more red)
blue 55 (45)
green 55 (45)
brightness 48 saturation 70

Testimonial: "Thank you so much for your input. It really helped get the monitor back on! EasyPackage still won't intallm but it's ok, I'm using Nvidia for image adjustments. I hope LG fix this problem, because it will defineltly affect their sales of monitor as more and more people start complaining about this glitch with LG's EasyPackage software. But again, thanks for your input and concern. Sincerely, Maurice"

I uninstalled the Forte Manager through the control panel as I was having recognition problems with my W2552.
It has solved the problem, and I have had no problems since!

Hi Anand,
You need to check your power options settings and modify it , so that your monitor does not turn off automatically.
If you are using windows xp , go in control panel and then there would be an icon for power options , double click the power options and then you would find settings which read turn off monitor , turn off hard disk etc... select the turn off monitor to never mode or as per your convenience and you would have your problem solved.
Hope this helps.
