13.20.00 can be also caused be a jam near the fuser (the part of the printer that gets hot to make the toner stick to the paper). Remove the toner cartridge and take a look for small scraps of paper along the whole path. Also open the door on the back of the printer and look for paper scraps from there. If you see paper stuck in the fuser, do not use anything sharp to remove it, be careful not to scratch the surfaces.

False paper jam on hp laserjet 4345

Paper jam I suppose is the commonest of all printer problems as it can occur due to strayed, stuck bits of papers in pathway of paper tray, outlet, roller etc. I would recommend cleaning the paper inlet, outlet, and other possible areas to avoid a paper jam situation.

Follow the given steps to clear paper jam
>Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the rear.

->To clear a paper jam near the paper tray, grip the paper and pull it firmly but gently from the printer. If you find a stack of papers jammed, grab from the middle of the stack and pull.

->For a rear jam, remove the back of the printer. When you find a free edge on the paper, grip it firmly and pull it out.

->Replace the back cover. Press the "Resume" button or turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. Your settings should reset.

->Try printing another document

PRINTER COULD NOT AUTOMATICALLY EJECT PAPER HP 4345, with error code 13.20

Check inside the MFP (manual feed tray) for a scrap or a whole sheet of paper.
There is one of three sensors that is sending a paper jam notice to the printer.

Error code 13.20.00 for hp laserjet m 4345 mfp

Hi!

According to HP service manuals, the error you described is in the category:

JAM INSIDE TOP COVER AREA

and more specific:

The pre-feed sensor, the top-of-page sensor, or the fuser-delivery

Those are the points where some paper pieces or even dust can be stuck.

Hope it helped,

Bogdan

Hp 4345 won't lift paper says paper jam. I open the tray close it and it works for one paper. Then it happens again.

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

HP LaserJet M3027 indicates paper jam but there isn't a jam.

if you are getting a paper jam message but you can not find paper any where in the printer the first thing that you want to do is clean the pickup roller in the paper tray. the roller is located on the top of the cavity that the paper tray is installed in.
