Can i get on facebook witha nook tablet

With the Nook Color software update in April 2011, Nook Color owners can download and install a Facebook application from the Nook Store on the Barnes and Noble e-Book reader.
Once you install a Facebook app on your device, you can follow and add status updates along with anything else you would do on Facebook.
Access the Nook store on your device and choose from the available Facebook apps created specifically for the Nook Color.
Tap the "Nav Arrow" to open the Quick Nav Bar.
The arrow is at the bottom center of the screen.

Tap "Shop" from the Quick Nav Bar to open the Nook Store.
At the bottom of the Nook Store page is a Search field.

Tap inside the Search field.
A keypad appears on the screen.

Enter "Facebook App" in the Search field.

Review the search results.
When you tap a search result, such as FriendCaster for Facebook, a page opens with an overview of the application and customer reviews.

Tap the price button for the Facebook app you want to install on your Nook.
If it is a free app, the button will be labeled "Free."

Tap "Confirm," and the Facebook app you chose automatically downloads and installs on your device. Tap the "App" icon in the Quick Nav Bar to find apps you've added to your Nook.

I can't get my chat to work. I checked help and it said to get the sidebar up by clicking on Chat at the bottom of the page. Well Chat does not show at the bottom of the page. What do I do to get...

Hello and Welcome to Fixya!

Actually may be your status on Facebook is as "Offline" that's why it is not showing you the chat box, first you have to make your status as "online"
For this log in your Facebook account, when your home page will open, On the left side down on the page there will be written that "you are currently offline to chat with your friends "Go online". Click on it and your status will become online and your chat box will open on the bottom of the page. If you have done this and problem is still there then may be the problem is in your browser, in this situation try to log in with other browser, After this if you have still this problem then may be you are blocked to chat from Facebook or there is a problem in Facebook server, then wait for a while it will probably fix soon.

I hope you have a clear picture now in your mind and this solution helps you.Let me know If you have further confusion regarding your problem
Thank you and Keep Visiting FixYa

I tried to get in fb login page. but all this other fb stuff comes up

Facebook is down at the moment and unfortunately the website where we can check the Live status of websites like Facebook.com or twitter.com etc.. isn't accessiblt. They haven't updated the current status on twitter, I'll update you once I get more information about the disruption.

    Good Luck.

    Thanks for using FixYa.

    Tagging in a status

just include the "@" symbol beforehand. As you type the name of what you would like to reference, a drop-down menu will appear that allows you to choose from your list of friends and other connections, including groups, events, applications and Pages. Soon, you'll be able to tag friends from applications as well. The "@" symbol will not be displayed in the published status update or post after you've added your tags.
