Computer battery had decharged so i plugged it in to charge while i worked online i connected the broadband modem to access the internet the plug to the power source came out and the battery died so the computer went off without disconnecting the broadband first. now each time i try to turn on the computer a message immediately appears on screen that windows could not launch. it gives me options of start all of which i have tried to no avail. advanced options dont help either. please help i dont know what to do

Thats a Power On Password...I believe the only way that you can get around/reset/disable it...is by taking out the battery out of the Cmos. I will be looking for more ways other then that but thats one that i know works...
If you would like to attempt it...i dont recommend it for the no computer people...look up fourms and see if others have had the same problem or if people have taken the computer apart and replaced the cmos battery
