Look at your spa thermostat. It might be calibrated excessive or it could definitely not open the world in the event the set heat is usually reached. Some thermostats is usually calibrated having a small Allen prop or flat prop within the back from the thermostat. Switch this particular prop some sort of 1/4 turn counter-clockwise for you to adjust straight down and see in case that makes a difference. Replace the thermostat if you want to function work correctly. Check here

If you are in the Southern States or a very warm climate it is possible that the temperature outside is heating up your hot tub. If this is the case simply take off your hot tub cover and turn off your pump and allow your hot tub to cool down to temperature. The other reasons your hot tub or spa will often over heat due to a dirty filter that slows down the flow of water through the heater housing and therefore over heats the water. So start by taking your filters out and give them a good cleaning. If the problem persists after cleaning the hot tub filters you have to look at the thermostat and the hi-limit sensor. For both these items I would recommend contacting your local hot tub service to repair them. Make Your Hot Tub Cool Tub This Summer

Turn off all power to the hot tub as soon as you realize it is overheating. The spa should have an automatic shut off when the water temperature reaches about 112 degrees fahrenheit. Call your hot tub dealer or manufacturer for service options. There are a variety of conditions that could lead to the overheating of your hot tub, but may differ in various hot tub models and brands. Check the water level of the hot tub. Low water levels could be the culprit for the over heating, so you may just need to add more water to the hot tub.
Check the shut-off valves in the hot tub. If they are closed while the hot tub heater is on, it could cause the water to reach unsafe temperatures.
Clean the hot tub filter. A dirty filter could be blocking the flow of water, causing the water to sit in the hot tub and overheat.
Turn the power back on after finding the problem and talking to the hot tub dealer. The hot tub will probably not start back up until the water reaches a safe temperature

Flowmaster spa pump

If the thermal switch is tripping, the motor probably is overheating. It can be bad bearings, clogged filters, or no cooling air getting to the insides of the motor.

Motor shuts off after 30 seconds looks like it is overheating

More than likely the motor is overheating or at least the thermal overload thinks it is. The thermal overload could be bad but if the motor has burnt windings then it probably is pulling too many amps which will cause the overload. Sounds like you need a service call or take the motor to a motor shop.
